  1. I was there, too. That is where I met Louie and Wendy. In fact he, my wife, and I were the ones who got yelled at for trying to sneak into the green room. Oh well. I have yet to hear the record, but I do like the sound of the new songs from the acoustic versions that I heard the other night. My missus really liked them and is probably on her way to the store now to go buy it.
  2. I listen to too much to list it all, but new to me this month that I am really diggin' on is: King Khan and The Shrines - What Is? Garage-psych-R&B-Punk For fans of: The Dirtbombs, 13th Floor Elevators, Syd's Floyd. And Tom Z
  3. Yes, production can completely screw up a really great song. But a weak song will always be a weak song. Good production can make it more interesting, but it will still be a weak song and won't stand up to repeated listens.
  4. What's your favourite alcoholic drink? -just a good beer, please AC/DC or Black Sabbath? -depends on the era of each. The Who or the Kinks? -Kinks Do you think Flight of the Conchords is funny? -I don't have cable Do you exercise at all? -Does that include chasing two insane little boys? What do you think about Kitkat bars and the proper way to eat them? -Break 'em. Although I prefer (and miss) the BigKats. Thongs, sexy or disgusting? -On her or me? Do you know anyone that plays second life? -? Are you overly familiar with the location of the wilco loft? -No. Sufjan Stevens,
  5. Ha! It is like that, isn't it? We broke up, so we don't play anymore. And, I'm a dad, so I rarely play anywhere of note anymore. But, thanks for asking. When does YOUR band play next?
  6. As a lifelong, sad, pathetic Cubs fan (is that redundant?), I couldn't care less.
  7. Ray Davies may be, pound-for-pound, a better songwriter than either Lennon or McCartney. Okay, I'm no whimp. He is.
  8. Anyway, I guess that, since this is the Wilco-only form, I'll start at the beginning: I was in attendance at Wilco's first-ever show at Lounge Ax, back in 1994. I was also a student at Mizzou and saw UT before No Depression came out (Halloween, 1989). (Is that still Wilco-related?) But I'm not bragging, just starting at the top. Hi. Oh yeah, and I came here because I met Louie B and Wendy at the Steve Earle show at Martyr's last night.
  9. Hello. My name is Todd and I am a music addict. I met Louie B and Wendy last night at the Steve Earle show at Martyr's and thought that I'd register here. I already post at too many other boards, but, you know, I'm an addict. Today I'm listening to this: The Wolfgang Press - Queer My Bloody Valentine - Loveless Magnetic Fields - The Charm Of the Highway Strip Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea Various - A Matter Of Degrees (OST) Nice to meet you.
