I am 100% with you, Louie. But I am damn glad to at least hear him making new music. That is a huge positive. And the new songs, while not the old band, are still pretty great. The worst that KJ has to offer is still going to beat the pants off of the best of a whole bunch of other similarly minded bands. The man is brilliant. I'm hoping that he keeps producing and stays on track. We need more of his music. Hopefully the world will wake up and discover him.

And that is because, unlike the NFL, the NHL is a league with integrity.

Damn. Not just because I'm a fan, but because he always seemed like a nice kid. I hate to find out that's not true. EDIT: But, if he is a rapist, throw him the fuck in jail.

So, Kevin Junior has been quietly releasing (streaming only) the occasional new song to his Soundcloud page. So far, there are 4 new tunes. I compiled them on a playlist here: https://soundcloud.com/poptodd/sets/the-chamber-strings

Nice, Chez. Among that lineup of albums are both my current all-time favorite album, and an album that WAS my all-time favorite album, once upon a time.

A really, really great choice. And yes, you can only do one video per post. It's been like that since I've been around here.

My 2 favorite guitar players of all-time were the guys on that record—Robert Quine and Richard Lloyd. Just awesome.

"New Year's Day" too. Damn. Like a siren blaring out at the beginning of that solo -- just grabs you. He's not know for his solos, but he sure knows how to craft them when he decides to play one.

As other folks post their lists, there are always several that make me slap my head and think that i missed one.

Yup, I know. I always think of more with lists like these. And yeah, that Stones one (Keef's shining moment as a lead player)… and the Big Star one are probably top 50 for me.

Riffing off the "Favorite Guitar Players" thread—pun definitely intended and deeply apologized for. In no particular order, except for the #1. Yo La Tengo - "Pablo and Andrea" (Ira Kaplan) (The SECOND solo— the one that starts around 2:40. But, to get the full-effect, I think that you really need to listen to the entire song, both leading up to, and following the solo, to understand its full power. It's transcendental.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mj3gv64BR4 Richard Hell - "I'm Your Man" (Robert Quine) Both of them—particularly the second one and the way that it starts with those heav

I think that I forgot to mention Nile Rodgers …the greatest rhythm guitar player of all time. Also, more-recently, I been appreciating Phil Manzanera more and more.
