Not Wilco, but at a very small street/music festival in Annapolis, I heard the strains of "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" being performed and I rushed over to see who it was. Turns out it was a lone guy...WITH A DUDE MIMING ALONG TO THE SONG.

My fifth time seeing them since April and definitely the weakest of the shows. We started out on the lawn, but the people around us wouldn't stop yammering -- LOUDLY -- so we moved to the pavilion, where the sound is so, so much better. I don't know if it's the greater DC area or what, but I never seem to have the great concert experiences I have elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I love the band and I enjoyed the show even if the setlist was a little blah for me. The venue is fantastic and it was a beautiful night. This was a really fun set and the perfect precursor to Bruce! We managed to get in to the pit (itstillmoves84, I think we were right behind you). Jeff's stylist needs to tone it down with the hair...wow.

I'm RedVelvet and it was me that Tweedy was asking about! Is DC just a particularly stiff crowd? I've been to many concerts all over the country and have never been met with so many questions or odd stares! There's no big secret...I enjoy concerts and making people smile...but the DC crowd seemed a little weirded out. I was standing next to the two women who were arguing -- the younger woman pushed her way to the front and it didn't sit well with the older woman.
