  1. ^yes, thanks, received the same 5 min ago. I'll keep on trying. Dumb questions: anyone knows when and why the lines about muddy waters, Frisco' and hollow logs were dropped from I Know your rider?
  2. ^yeah, thanks, but if it's gonna be a d/l, not a physical box, I will take the non-legal path... As for what Lamny says, I'm not sure that what is circulating in a billion sites are the Betty boards. Those boards are candy to my ears
  3. It's being impossible for me..I have entered my non-US zip code about 20 times and the stupid robot keeps insisting I have to enter a zip postal. Will they want sell only to American customers? I'm sure by the time it recognizes my zip all will be sold out. I am left with illegal d/l and such. Thanks Rhino, you lose, I will get it anyway, only will miss the book
  4. Same here. My 2nd favorite vocal intrussion by Jerry in Bob-sung tunes would be in I Know you rider, and the 3rd Jack Straw. Any others...?
  5. "A note from Roger: The resistance begins today," Waters' Facebook posted Friday. The video comes from Waters' late-September concert gigs at Mexico City's Foro Sol in front of a massive audience that didn't appreciate Trump calling Mexicans "rapists" or threatening to build a wall.During the song, Waters' video screens showed artist-made images of Trump toting a machine gun outside the White House, giving the Nazi salute and surrounding himself with KKK members. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/see-roger-waters-begin-trump-resistance-in-pigs-live-video-w462244
  6. Come on, it's not Martian or Swahili. Anyway, it's played between the legs and sine qua non gear for many latin and flamenco groups (not my thing, but still). It's played putting it between the legs and some are very expensive, and sound fantastic. Mickey Hart sure knows better...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1lNqO8FBw8

  10. ^Thanks for the heads-up Calvino mp3 can be d/l (I think legally; if not, mods please delete this) here https://soundcloud.com/quinfolk/sets/phil-lesh-friends-1-20-16

  12. From what I recall, Pigpen is only seen on stage not in the train scenes. Is this the time when he was engaged with Janis?. I think I read somewhere that They Love each other was composed by Hunter and Garcia while sitting on the railroad tracks
  13. Your opportunity for a $500 reward: http://www.jambase.com/article/reward-offered-missing-grateful-dead-concert-recording
  14. Add Alphonse Mouzon to the macabre list...The guy seemingly worked with everybody, from Gil Evans to Miles and Weather Report, Stevie Wonder, etc.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphonse_Mouzon http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/28/arts/music/alphonse-mouzon-jazz-and-fusion-drummer-dies-at-68.html?_r=0
  15. An early, great JGB show with a pristine sound and not so bad footage for the time, 4-2-76. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6KoZdtC1p4&index=8&list=PLRhSlynUuARDmJbYIFH-74Tm3aLqAAlLt
  16. I did not expect liking it, but really diggin' the 'Rehab Reunion' of Bruce, among my 'best of' this year. And the cut with Mavis is great
  17. Heard in a Spanish radio, half tongue-in-cheek, that maybe Michelle Obama will be the dem candidate for 2020....stranger things have happened!
  18. The Bird Song of September 10 1972 is amazing... and I have not heard the Betty board yet
  19. Just heard a few mp3 tunes caught from the Archive of the upcoming DP 20. In Jack Straw, Bob loses his mind, forget the words and the entire band derails, maybe the worst JS I can recall. Didn’t notice the accelerated pace in Bird Song though. And the China Rider are great, especially the jam in between
  20. ^I started to hear/read about it in the '80 decade
