Well, if i wasn't married already, I might. Jay could benefit by winning the lawsuit, and getting enough money to replace his hip. Jay could benefit by an out of court settlement which gives him enough money to replace his hip. Jay could Bennetfit, excuse me benefit, from losing the case by getting some free publicity which in turns sells a few more records than he otherwise would have, thus covering a little more of his surgery than he otherwise would have been able to.

I fail to check VC for one day and i come back to this....20 pages of it....and I read them all. Actually, I think Wilco and Jay will both benefit from this in terms or publicity, no matter who wins the legal case. I think the real losers are all of us, as thins pretty much shuts the door on there ever being a reunion of sorts. Not that the door wasn't shut already, but this helps to spell it out a little more clearly.

What are all those switches for if there's only one pickup? One might be a coil tap, but i count 5 and two roller type things that i haven't seen before (?). this certainly makes me think frankenstein.

Several sources say that a lot of the basic tracks for the new record were recorded in NZ during/after the 7 Worlds Collide project. I believe the attending Wilco members were Jeff, John, Glen and Pat. Do you think that this means that Pat will have a bigger role on the new record?

what is snocap?

I think Tom Waits does deserve to be put in the same tier as Neil and Bob, but for different reasons. I also think Bob's stuff is "relevant" (whatever that means) although it doesn't stand up to his old stuff. But hey, let's be honest what possibly could? Neil, hmmm have to think on that one. Last new one i herd from him was Greenville(or was it greendale? see, i can't even remember the name!). Enjoyable, but not one i come back to.
