  1. Well so far I like this album a lot more than the one about cars. I didn't really like the lyrics to Angry World on the first listen but the music was solid and I have a feeling that song will fall into place on the album. Love And War and Walk With Me are brilliant. Hitchiker is a classic as well, I haven't heard the album version, but based on the live performances recently it should be a great one.

Sounds like the godfather of grunge is about to reclaim his throne.

  2. Are they even worth seeing for $57 + the usual additional fees for just one ticket. They're coming to Asheville in September but that seems like a lot of dough to cough up to see them.

I saw them back in '04, I didn't mind seeing them one bit. Although I got to meet Frank after the show and got him to autograph a setlist, which was thrown out while I was at college, but whatever. YES you should go see them.

  3. It's only an EP, but you can't go wrong with free, especially if it's the Pixies.

All you have to do is go to http://www.pixiesmusic.com/ and enter your email address and they'll send you a download link.

    Track Listing:

    1. Dancing The Manta Ray (2:25)

    2. Monkey Gone To Heaven (2:55)

    3. Crackity Jones (1:43)

    4. Gouge Away (2:51)

Lots of energy one this one. I'd love to catch them on their current tour if I could.

  4. Crosby' date=' Stills, Nash & Young's 1974 summer tour was unprecedented in many ways with a huge sound system able to blast tens of thousands at outdoor stadiums. The Bill Graham produced spectacle went on to usher in the massive rock and roll extravaganzas that so many other acts would later follow.

Now comes word that a box set of CSNY's historic 1974 tour will be released by the end of the year. Planned as a three CD and a DVD set, the box is being put together by Joel Bernstein and Stanley Johnson from eight full shows from that tour.[/quote']

    Looks pretty awesome.

  5. I was just joking of course.

Sure it's a good song but there's so many songs that are better on SBS. Hate It Here, Either Way, Side With The Seeds, Walken, Sky Blue Sky. I just don't find You Are My Face to be outstanding, at least compared to those other tracks.

  6. Well, you could always pick your favorite, then say you assume the majority of Wilco fans would pick that one, and leave it off the poll...

I see what you did there..

Honestly though I didn't realize You Are My Face was such a favorite on this album. Maybe since I've heard the original version by Relatively Clean Rivers it's not as special for me or something. Still a good song though.
