I think this author is an idiot.. you can't compare Dave Matthews Band to Wilco. It just doesn't work... the only way they are similar is that the both endorsed Obama this year... I'm a fan of both bands and have seen both bands live, and the bands draw different crowds but, annoying "douchie" fans are in every concert venue.. the only thing you can do is just ignore them and try and enjoy the music. also, what's with all the dmb hate everywhere? if you dont like the band, just dont pay attention to them... overall, the author is dumb, and has a very limited view on music in general.. an

Just had my first full listen in the car. I loved every second of it, and if I didnt have work in the morning I would go for another cruise. I would include a list of highlight songs, but I loved every one. I can't wait to go out and get a cd and vinyl copy (kinda have to to make up for the horrible sin i committed by downloading the leak lol). And as far as the length issue is concerned, I think it's great. the songs are short and sweet, but there is a lot of opportunity for them to be opened up and fleshed out during concerts (fuck yes)... It's official... I'm actually jelous of a camel, and not only because they can hold vast amounts of water... but I love the cover. and no offense to all of you who are searching for some deeper meaning to the picture: but stop. I think that they just want it to be a funny and eye catching album cover, which it defiantly is. June 30 needs to hurry up and get here...

I love this song. personally, I think the YHF demo version is great. I like laminated cat but it's too slow and minimalist. with the full band its great...

I disagree with this as well. I think the other ex-members (even those who left voluntarily) have put it all behind them. I think Jay is doing this because he hasn't found the success he was hoping for when he was fired. Also, it seems like he is living in the past if he feels he needs to file a lawsuit almost a decade after he was fired. But I dont want to make it seem like i'm a bennett hater because do feel for him... he needs the money (without health insurance, a total hip replacement usually will cost between $31,000 and $45,000, with an average cost of $40,000). It's pretty sad..

Yeah, Pitchfork is really annoying.. They only care about totally obscure indie bands, and once those bands get popular enough they turn on them (other than Radiohead ofcourse). Critics argue that the site often emphasizes a reviewers' own writing over the actual music being reviewed, sometimes not even reviewing the album and instead criticizing the artist's integrity Also their reviewers care more about how "cool" and "hip" their reviews are rather than the music being reviewed, and sometimes they dont even review the album but criticize the artists who make it... and I bet none of them can
