  1. While Slaughterhouse 5 is probably his greatest work I'm a Bluebeard kinda guy myself.
  2. Yep. Nope. That was the primary vehicle for "Ronald Ann" and Milquetoast the Cockroach. Bloom Co. is just behind Peanuts as my all time fav. strip. And yeah, earlier this year I came across my stuffed Opus (in a Santa hat?) and Bill. I will always carry a soft spot in my heart for Lola Granola.... Edit: An interesting aside, when my youngest nephew was a little guy I got him a VHS of a half hour animated Bloom Co. TV Christmas special called " A wish for wings that work". He's 21 now, six foot four and probably hovering around 300lbs. A big man. I fully anticipate having to sit down
  3. Top 5 off the top-o-the head: Rosemary Bacon Coffee Fresh Dill and oddly...Gasoline.
  4. Listening to that just yesterday....really like it a lot too. Cryptograms is their only other work I'm familiar with...it's good but I'm liking Microcastle better. NP:
  5. Ooo. Hey T: How is it? As a fan of G.H.M do I need this?
  6. ISTJ - "Trustee". Decisiveness in practical affairs. Guardian of time- honored institutions. Dependable. 11.6% of total population.
  7. You spin that one quite a bit. Kinda fond of it myself. Lotsa good jingly jangly "fenderesque' moments of pop goodness.
  8. Holy....! Haven't heard this one before.
  9. True. And don't forget your respective state election boards. They'll need help at the polls. Just to chime in: I've been volunteering for the past couple of months. It's a rewarding experience if any of you are on the fence about this sort of thing. Be forewarned tho, when you call a little old lady on the phone @ 8:00PM and she insists it's "too goddamn late for this sort of thing" and uses a few colorful choice words to describe you and the candidate you support don't take it too personally. "People" are, you know...nuts.
  10. I, and others I work with have been talking about this today. Some see it as unsettling and disturbing, others find it indicative of some inner resolve/strength. It'll be interesting to see how un-decided voters interpret it. Fantastic.
  11. Ahh. Good to know as I'm a vinyl consumer. Also, discovered this tid-bit of info, which has probably been covered in the RA thread, but I'll offer here anyways...
  12. I'm thinking your is the correct cover art, but my joint had this... Downloading now. "Weeeee"!
  13. Or Russ Feingold, or Joseph Lieberman. Or "pork barrel ear-marks".
  14. What she said. I even have "Oscar Wao" awaiting in a pile on my desk. So, yup. "In".
