  1. DRM is playing at Waterloo on December 13 in Austin. It's free beer as always. Rosanne Cash is playing on Dec 5th at Waterloo as well
  2. what exactly is this...? My friend told me she was a member of Second City and that she could by tickets to the Jeff Tweedy portion, but I'm not sure if she knows what she's talking about. Can anyone prove her right please haha, because I'll be in Chicago that day and I've been wanting to see a solo show since I first discovered them in 07. Yeah, I'm a newcomer I suppose.
  3. kinda depressin' huh 1. Promising 2. Blue-Eyed Soul 3. Red-Eyed and Blue 4. Someone Else's Song 5. We're Just Friends 6. How to Fight Loneliness 7. I'm Trying to Break Your Heart 8. Cars Can't Escape (I'm counting it, if not, Reservations) 9. Pot Kettle Black 10. Hummingbird (soma version) 11. Panthers 12. Leave me Like you Found me 13. Let's Fight 14. One Wing 15. Solitaire
  4. Would like to see an AM, Being There, rough Uncle Tupelo fusion album. It won't happen though, I really think Wilco is happy where it's at. Unless by some random act of God, Jeff and Stiratt breakup, I see an immensely dark album. The darkest and saddening album any one man could construct. We all know that won't happen though, because God loves Wilco
  5. is anyone keeping up with this? Apparently you can buy beatles albums for 4 bucks!!! They have a lawsuit against them, but they have a copyright on these apparent "new sound recordings" Beatles on BlueBeat
  6. I don't know why I enjoy taking pictures at concerts I just do. I guess it doesn't matter to me because I only take pic's during the songs I don't really care for. And as for being a jerk with a camera it slightly doesn't bother me because I'm already tall to begin with and I'm sure I've already ruined some aspect of the concert for the people behind me. It sucks being the jerk at the concert. Maybe camera's at concerts are imperfect mediums, however that's only an opinion that Tweedy loves to express. Lately I've been using my camera for shows rarely and I'm not going to lie, you tend to g
  7. no they weren't, and that night was a little odd considering they spent a good chunk of their time during the Austin Stubbs show to fix their blown out amp. They were really confused that night. Good ole Harrison. Sean Lennon is pretty aight too, saw him at The Parish in Austin a few years back.
  8. Dhani Harrison, son of George Harrison, opens up for Wolfmother in his weird little band "thenewno2". I don't know what this beatle thread is but it somehow relates to the Beatles although it's a flight down the Beatle Tree. They weren't that great btw.
  9. Okay I was experiencing the Wilco Book and came across a picture of Thax. I'm not sure, but I think I saw him in Austin this past Wednesday for a show at Waterloo and Emo's with headliner Sea Wolf. I was just wondering if he's on this forum. The book is all over the place, but i do enjoy it.
  10. haha wth? I always wanted to experience a death metal band, I think that's what they classify as, but I'm sure I wouldn't survive in the front. I would like to see Danzig though seeing how he'll be in Austin next weekend. wooo Dethklok and Metalacalypse
  11. well those that will probably never get a chance to attend a Jeff Tweedy solo show, I happen to have got some sort of enjoyment out of it. A taste of his solo show.
  12. so that was the culprit the EMS guy was looking for? Haha thanks to him, Tweedy bartered with a crowd member sportin' the golden lame. Awesome. oh yeah favorite live song...hmmmmm....I always request Forget the Flowers because I fancy that song a lot, but from what I've experienced, I'm gonna choose ... Handshake Drugs and Cars Can't Escape (played it in Dallas woooohoooo)
  13. It kinda looks nice if colors were added to the show poster too, but Dirk Fowler is still pretty amazing at what he does.
  14. It's because everyone is buying the UT cds and no one dares to touch the Uncle Cracker concoctions
  15. did someone say.....gold shirt...i'm not one to hold back.... My link however, i did tape "cars can't escape" because I had to, but I don't know if I should upload that sucker. The world isn't ready.
  16. is this what this forum is about. I thought this was a travel agency.......ugh
  17. ugh, Being There is the one vinyl I've been waiting for. Delayed twice already, my head is about to explode. I guess it'll be that much sweeeter when I do find it in stores.
  18. Wilco makes the album release is 2012 wilco saves world still, world is not convinced of their greatness wilco destroys world the new album will probably feature the talents of glenn and nels more. pssshhh yah right, just produce a mix of Being There, AGIB, and a dash of YHF and it'll be amazing. I feel like Wilco created puzzle pieces and YHF is just one huge mammoth, but it could get better. WTA seemed like a rehash of SBS, which is okay in my book, but not the usual. I'm just glad they made it to texas yet again.
  19. I'm gonna see Lucero at Fun Fun Funfest in Austin, wooo! Lucero, to me, is Uncle Tupelo without a Tweedy. I guess it's Son Volt then...
  20. what if Wilco treated opening bands like song requests? I really see a lot of flaws in that wish, because in all honesty, I'd just be going to see Nels shred, Glenn drum, Pat constantly be switching from guitar to keyboard, John pluckin' pedaling his foot, Michael alone in the back tearing up the keys, and Jeff just being the entertainer that he his. I rambled... Could be interesting to see though...
  21. Sometimes I just wish the perfect concert would hit my town. I've seen Wilco thrice only and have to say each one got better progressively. Liam Finn is a great artist who did a fantastic job in the Fall 09 tour, but I have to wonder sometimes what would be the best bill known to "me". If I could have it my way it'd probably be Delta Spirit and Wilco or Spoon and Wilco Dr. Dog and Wilco Elvis Perkins and Wilco That's just me though and here's to wishing thinking
  22. i'll have to agree, haha I just think it's funny to see a band sing about another band. Could be a stunt to persuade people to buy something that has "wilco" on it. Damn them, they got me to post an idiotic topic on it.
  23. http://bandweblogs.com/blog/2009/10/13/the-wildflowers-release-wilco-the-sound-single/ should be interesting.
  24. owl and bear usually has sound archives of shows. that's where I got the stubbs in austin show. I made a live cd album haha.
