  1. Just read Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Albums of the Decade - Wilco landed at number 97 for SBS and number 3 for YHF. My biggest shock is that A Ghost Is Born is no where to be found on this list. Don't get me wrong, I love to listen to SBS - but if that's gonna be on the list than I think AGIB should have joined the discussion as well. Kid A grabbed the #1 spot.
  2. Ben Gibbard just did a record with Jay Farrar too... Right?
  3. I definitely think this version rocks a little bit harder, but I can't really complain about the newer version. It was still really great live when I saw them this summer.
  4. I remember reading an article where Jeff was discussing the transition between BBN and You and I... he actually compared it to the transition on AGiB from Spiders to Muzzle. I quite enjoy both of those transitions. Not that this has anything to do with the Beatles...
  5. I'm so sad I had to work today and miss the webcast. Boo. Great set list. Hope this shows up somewhere to be viewed or at least heard again.
  6. Read this in an interview with Jeff earlier this summer and thought it relevant - from Wilco (The Interview) - Boston Globe Q. You’re not the kind of band that does the same set list every night, are you? A. No, we change it up every night. On a tour when a new record comes out, it’s probably a little bit more similar from night to night than it would be otherwise because there’s a handful of songs that you feel obligated to play because people are going to be really disappointed if you don’t play them. Then there’s the songs off the new record that you really want to play because you’re
  7. Wow, indeed. What a great show! This was my first Wilco show. I'm going again tomorrow and kind of wishing I was going on Thursday, as well. Awesome, Awesome show. Wilco rocked my face off tonight. Also - very pleased to hear Muzzle of Bees...
  8. I agree completely. I'm listening to it for the fifth or sixth time today and I was just thinking that this album is like all the best parts of every other Wilco record, all packed into one awesome disc. This record is sweet. Bull Black Nova = Awesomeness Solitaire... what can I say? Wilco (The Song) = warm feelings of Wilco comfort One Wing = Rockin' Fleetwood Mac Awesomeness (though I agree with the comment about missing the guitar solos at the end from the live versions) Everlasting love is all we have... what more can you really say?
