  1. I agree 100%... It was really cool and unique. I loved it! They were having fun and that was great to see. Coupled with the Wilco set Saturday it was a memorable two nights to say the least. More crowded, sure, but the best of all three SSFs for me!
  2. In my 30 ish wilco shows I have never hear 'I Got You' without being preceded by 'Red Eyed and Blue'... Unexpected but great opener. Fantastic night and fantastic weekend!
  3. It was great and they clearly had fun... Jeff said a few times how much fun they had and how it was the best night ever. Dead Flowers was originally written by Townes Van Zant btw
  4. As you know Pieholden Suite only works live with horns, like the record cut... I saw them play it at Tanglewood in 08 (? I think that was the year... They wore the Nudie Suits that night) with 'The Total Pros' horn section and it was great... I would love it if they had the horns back for SS3
  5. I would love the hear Thanks I Get! As for the debate - covers vs. wilco songs... The way I see it is that this is a one time deal, and as much as I would prefer two nights of full Wilco material sets, I am going to embrace Friday night as a rare event and someday I will look back and feel lucky to have been there... We all have faith and trust in Wilco and you know they will deliver. All the covers I have heard Wilco play live over the years have been killer - 'Something in the Air' by Thunderclap Newman (made famous by Petty), 'I Shall Be Released' by Dylan, 'Broken Arrow' by Neil Young,
  6. I went with 'Lookin Out My Back Door' by CCR... "Just got home from Illinois lock the front door, oh boy... Doo doo doo lookin out my back door"
  7. Very powerful tune and I love it as the opener. When Glen smacks on those drums and Jeff starts strumming you know it's on... Last fall in Turin, Italy I was lucky enough to coincide a work trip with a Wilco show and the Misunderstood opener was incredible. Also very memorable is the Misunderstood as the 2nd encore opener from my first Wilco show. Along with 'I'm Always in Love', 'Misunderstood' is the first Wilco song I really got into...
  8. Just remembered two more I've been thinking about "Angel in the Centerfold" J Geils Band "Life is a Highway" Tom Cochrane... Cheesy but good sing along
  9. "We're an American Band" Grand Funk Railroad "No Sugar Tonight in My Coffee" The Guess Who Ans still haven't decided on specific songs, but something from Beach Boys, Dead, Petty, CCR, Beatles would be great
  10. God Only Knows by Beach Boys As Long As I Can See the Light by Credence Tennessee Jed by Grateful Dead We've Been Had
  11. Yes Samosa Man most definitely deserves a spot in the 'S' slot
  12. The night before (or after can't remember) in Providence at Lupo's is the same for me... Just incredible and a highlight of my concert attending career
  13. Anyone ever hear of Steven Kellogg and the Sixers? Good band with a vibe that might fit in well... Would like an announcement soon!
  14. My confirmation email mentioned that I would get a print pass message soon... That how it was the first two years and then you get a wrist band when you check in at Mass MoCA...
  15. Especially when you add in the 'Not Fade Away' combo! Gotta love the Bobby short shorts phase!
  16. I would agree with Lee Renaldo... Really enjoyed them in VT last summer. I have always thought Deertick would be a good fit or the Felice Brothers.
  17. A few other comment if you are curious... Jeff invited us to sing along on Jesus and he said 'excellente' when the song was over He also encouraged us to sing along on Hummingbird Guitar/bass tech Josh joined the band for his shirtless cowbell performance on Hoodoo... It took some encouragement from the band
  18. A few typos in there ... Hit should be got and there should be an it between doing and last night. Sorry about that... iPhone
  19. Misunderstood Art of Almost Standing O I am Trying to Break Your Heart I Might Sunken Treasure (acoustic) Born Alone Laminated Cat (electric) Impossible Germany Shouldn't Be Ashamed Jesus, Etc Whole Love Handshake Drugs War on War I'm Always in Love Heavy Metal Drummer Dawned on Me Hummingbird Shot in the Arm --------------------- Via Chicago Passenger Side California Stars Hate it Here Walken I'm the Man Who Loves You ---------------------- Monday> Outta Site> Hoodoo Voodoo Incredible show... 30+ wilco shows for me and this was my second time seeing them in Europe. They were all
  20. Traveling through Europe this month for work and will coincide with Wilco in Turin, Italy Friday! Having trouble buying tix... Do you think that show will sell out? I get into town around 3 and the show is at 830. Hoping to check into hotel and immediately head to venue to buy ticket in person. Thoughts? Suggestions?
  21. Found it: http://wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=893 So let me re-phrase my question... do you think Wilco will ever TOUR through South America?
  22. I am a long-time Wilco fan from upstate NY and I am traveling in South America for work right now. As I travel through Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, etc... all I keep thinking about is how Wilco needs to get down here to play... great music scene in many of these countries and some great venues... Do you think it will ever happen?
  23. I feel the exact same way... I loved VT but I liked the different vibe of Mass MoCA as well
