Not a big show person, so small shows: Mark Kozelek, 2012 Unitarian Church, Philly New Multitudes (Jay Farrar, Jim James, etc) 2013 Philly

Mark has been my favorite contemporary artist ever since I first discovered Ghosts (and April around the same time). AFP blew me away. I pretty much enjoy whatever he does, and that mostly applies to this release as well. Fav tracks are Ben's My Friend, Richard Ramirez, Carissa, and I Watched The Film. Still, I will always be partial to AFP and songs like Young Love and Black Kite, as well as the live album releases.

As a devoted Koz fan, I have been listening to this a lot as well. For me, "Tavoris Cloud" and "Katowice or Cologne" are also standout tracks.

Ryan Adams' guitar at one point was the Buck Owens look-a-like model... so I think that fact along with what others said above means that he is probably referring to the new stuff. Love JTE but he must have not heard Daniel Romano before...He is making country music.

how is this a jay solo record when mark spencer, gary hunt, and dave bryson were all in the studio? how is the title goofy? To me, it seems pretty clear what kind of record jay wanted to make.

What! As soon as I saw the album cover, I knew the album was going to be great, which it definitely is.

I am loving this album as well. My favorites are "Middle Child," "Two Pillow Sleeper," and "He Let Her Memory Go (Wild)."

Loving this.
