  1. I heard the I'm your fan compilation including John Cales Hallelujah and Ian McCulloch's Hey thats no way to say goodbye before I knew who Leonard Cohen was! It prompted me to find out though. Likewise all the covers on The late geat Daniel Johnson introduced me to him.
  2. Sweet thanks for that tip! I'd totally overlooked that part and had thought my best mate and I would be stuck in a tent:/ So rapt to get in on a dorm room right there since we'll be travelling without a vehicle:) I don't know of any reason to expect it but I really want to see Pokey Lafarge as well, and mostly his harmonica player Ryan Koenig, so would love to see them on the bill! And NZ's Marlon Williams would be great too. He opened for Justin Townes Earle here a couple of years ago so there's a tenuous link, but I'll be seeing him here at WOMAD in March anyway.
  3. That was quick and easy, maybe I didn't need to set my alarm for 4am in New Zealand to get them after all, but glad I have them secured and now I'm definitely committed to being there! Woot:)
  4. Sheesh, just saw this thread, 1)heart jumped even though I thought it was probably wrong, 2)was pissed to see only one NZ date 3)was super pissed to see there's still no real NZ dates Hurry up already!! Feels like they're already a year late to hit these shores again havin been spoilt to see them in 08,09 and 10. I actually had a funny dream last night where I was in a show foyer with tickets to a Jeff Buckley show in one theatre but desperate to get into the Wilco show next door instead, lol.

I also really like reading these snippets before I have the tune in my head for some of them Not completely sure if I heard this one right but if I did I like it... Subtract the silence of myself

  8. Wow!! I was a little apprehensive about this album, I might is probably my least favourite, (or now maybe capitol city) and when I first heard it a few weeks ago I was disheartened and had a little cry (ok may have been a little premenstrual too) that Wilco were heading in a different direction than I wanted them too! I still preordered though. But now I'm beaming and can't wait or the 27th, (I will wait though, I like the build up). As soon as Art of Almost got going I got one of those huge mega grin/crazy 'hell yeah' laughs and was fully imagining being in the front frow for it. I got to lis
  9. What an awesome show!! I'm so glad I decided to go to Wellington instead of Auckland (from Taranaki, would've done both if I could!). I really didn't want to be sitting down and front row in front of Jeff was great:) She's a jar was my online request so I really was HAPPY, (sad songs make me happy lol) and I came home with one of Glens drumsticks,YAY. Thanks for doing the setlist Mahinty. Can't wait til they come back, next year;)

    NZ Dates

I'm happy ticketek called today to say the Wellington GA will now be standing not seated I can't be responsible for tracklisting, I'll be too engrossed to do anything methodical like that!

    NZ Dates

Man how frustrating dealng with ticketek on this! I called em yesterday and they didn't know anything, the guy said, "who, the wiggles?"!! this morning at 9 I was told 'on sale some time this morning don't know when' grrr. I finally got two GA for Welly, thinking theyd be closer than upstairs seated tx, still can't see a floor plan. So if the GA are seated, which sucks, does that mean allocated or first in best seat?? My e confirmation just says GA, blank row/seat. I'm still super excited anyway

    NZ Dates

    Woohoo uh huh oh yeah
  13. Thanks for the offer:) I'd only followed the lovepolice link where they had that rule in bold caps, but ticketek looks to be ok. Sydney is more expensve than i expected, the other shows about what I thought they would be, funny that Melbourne tx are a whole 30c cheaper than Brisbane! So i have a couple of hours to decide and get good tx
  14. I've been definitely expecting a return to NZ for 2010, I still think it will be announced soon too (please please please). Anyway I'd consider flying to catch a show or two in Australia as well but apparently you have to reside there to buy tx!!! is that normal?
  15. I never really listened to Feist before but I had wished for/imagined/dreamt of a duet with Regina Spektor! This is the next best thing, her voice reminds me of Regina, so clear and beautiful.
