Somewhat. She gives us a good history of the scene. It's not just all about Dylan. She tells use a lot about their mutual friends and other assorted people who were around, as well as, her own life. Another great one: Bob Dylan - Positively 4th Street

I read that book. I forgot about it though. I am still a bit amazed about some of the stuff in Suze's book.

I don't know if I agree with that - but then again, I am not a folk music expert. I don't really know a lot about it, just some stuff I learned from reading books and watching various documentaries. I'd much rather hear this: Bootleg Series Vol. 2 - 01 Seven Curses than say, Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat. When I was 15 or so, it probably would have been the opposite.

I don't about the early days, but I think in the liner notes to the 75 show release she talks about sort of being thrown into the deep end. If I recall correctly, she said he kept changing the songs, and she did not know what was going to go down until they were actually doing it onstage. I think she says something about "watching his mouth". I suppose we also have to remember that on stage vocal monitor systems were still not all that great in 1975. At least compared to what we have today, anyhow. I recall reading in one of those Dylan books about him and Bob Neuwirth talking her into joini

Usually, I don't mess with any band members solo efforts. But - I heard Little Sunflower on the podcast I mentioned a couple pages back - and decided to seek out the show it was from. As I said - I found it - but it is a dead seed, so I found another show. I really have not listened to the rest of the show yet - but that song Little Sunflower is pretty cool.

She was an early champion of his, helped his music reach a wider audience, and they were together. We should remember that.
