I was watching the 6-21-1971 show last night. Of course - that is when he was playing the Strat.

Try discogs.com.

I figured you did. I always have to hear Black Throated Wind after Looks Like Rain. And I just did that.
-
Old Bob did not write that though (just for the kids out there.) Looks Like Rain is a great song - particularity with the pedal steel parts.
-
It must have been LZ III.
-
I didn't realize there were acoustic type songs on the album until I heard it. I guess those came about from the other album he talked about working on.
-
NPR has the whole album up to stream: Notes of Blue
-
It was on the cassette release.

I suppose they are doing this to get on in the vinyl craze. Plus it may be more of Rhino's idea than the GD management. I think I have In The Dark on vinyl. Someone gave it to me years ago.
-
I don't collect such things - but if I did, I would rather have the original releases. I don't think that I even knew that the GD actually released singles.
-
My first though is - I don't know what is worse: the cover art, title font, or the songs. It seems to be he could be doing something else in this day and age. But - he does what he wants. I am sure he has a blank ticket (the same as Bruce) and Columbia will put out whatever he wants.

Triplicate

I guess now they are starting a vinyl singles club.
-
That's nice. Although it must be a weird trip to go backwards. Now you need some Son Volt.
-
Oh - this is my favorite song from the last album: Desdemona
-
Maybe the next one will be about that.
-
They must be planning to release a live album or dvd:

I thought the last episode was - I don't know - anticlimactic? Plus what's the deal with UFO stuff.
-
Another great track - Legion of Mary - Little Sunflower - 6/4/1975 Jerry's tone here is just exactly perfect.
-
I am listening to that now. That drum part is awesome. I have not listened to this cd in years.
-
I noticed he talked about the reunion in that interview.

Is there enough ads on that site? S OF A B

I would think so. Too bad more bands could not follow the R.E.M. and U2 way of doing things. Of course, it is not like The Allman Brothers had any hits exactly. At least probably not since the 1970s. I recall a few years back one of their songs was in a commercial for feminine hygiene products or adult diapers. I can't recall which. I remember thinking - I hope they all got a check from that.
-
I suppose this could be stuck in a bunch of threads.

I have often wondered how a drummer in a band had a place in the South of France. Maybe he overspent. I recall he had some trouble with the Moogis thing he came up with several years ago. Maybe he lost a lot on that.
