What you do for your personal listening pleasure is your business, the point here is sending those tracks out there for others in a lossy format. I compare it to when I was a kid and everyone wanted gigantic stereos with massive speakers - now, people want little personal stereo boxes with little speakers stuck in their ears. Some folks say they can not tell the difference from a -192 Mp3 vs. a Wav file - but I can.

You may not care - until you get banned from various BT sites. I also recall the dudes who work at Wilco HQ asking the webcasts not be put up as Mp3's - yet that seems to still go on. I think the deal is also that a lot of people do not care about sound quality now - as they want a smal bit rate Mp3 to put on their ipod. I, prefer wav or FLAC - but that is because I do not have an ipod. I am usually very picky about how things sound. I'll tell you now - tapers do not like to see people putting up shows in Mp3 format. I recently put up some studio stuff in Mp3 and caught big hell for it - so much so - that I am not going to put up Mp3 rips anymore.

I like this show best when they go with the hitchcock thing.
