I'm surprised someone who loves wilco also loves __________
Analogman replied to Atticus's topic in Someone Else's Song
I suppose I was speaking of some of my bad habits there. Funny thing - I was in HS in the early 80s and I own hardly any music from that time - it just never spoke to me. There are some exceptions - U2 being one I can think of. -

Everyone has their cross to bear - I was surprised the first time I heard them even mentioned on here - to me they were some new wave haircut band one hit wonder deal. I think I have learned over the years everyone likes what they like and that is the way it is. I use to spend a lot time running down bands that others would champion. I don't really feel a need to do that anymore. At some point, I hope to be able to refrain when someone runs down some band I am into. I mean, I could talk about the feelings I get from listening to The Grateful Dead - say Eyes of The World for instance, and -
The flyer is on page 2 of the No Depression re-issue. I have the original cds - but I bought the re-issues when they came out. The sound is very good.

Did the town tear the building down? Did they not live around the Stag Brewery? Louie B went in search of these things a few year ago. There is a flyer with your band's name on it in one of the re-issues or the anthology - I forget which. But - you already knew that, of course.

It will be out soon enough -

I gave up on him a few albums ago - I can not stand his voice anymore.

You should start a blog - and share some stories about those days. And maybe some photos of that place they played, the place they lived in, etc.

That's great. Thanks for sharing.

Did you send this stuff to this dude: http://www.factorybelt.net/index.htm

That's pretty cool.

I still have the cassette of that album I got back in the day.

I recently got the first disc of the Kissology dvd - glad I did not pay for it - as the quality of the film/video on it is sub par - seems to me they could have done a better job. With that said, watching the band in b&w from the Winterland in 1975, is pretty cool. They actually rock - this is before the the over the top smoke bomb blood spitting cartoon show that would come to define them a few years later.

There are several boards out there full of people just as dedicated to the band in question as people are here. Although, I have never participated, I think there has been GD talk on The Well since the late 80s. I look, but do not really post on the Black Crowes board - people there follow the band around and hang out with each other, argue, whatever - just like here.

Not trying to be abrasive - but at some point, one has to go from starting threads and asking the same questions over and over and over - to learning how to get out there and search. I am just trying to get people to learn something - these things were taught to me - so I am just passing them on.

I know that - I think the customs we saw practiced in that scene are based on the real life customs of some people/place.

GD via GV which gives you the listings for YT

I could do without the T&A - it's just a trip to get people to not flip the channel. What's the deal with that tribe of people and the tattoo thing - I have not looked it up yet. I was reminded somewhat of The Illustrated Man during the scene where Jack gets his tattoo.

If you get the Hendrix BBC cd, there is a track on it where he is playing drums.

I think her friends and 25 ex-boyfriends call her that.

Anything that makes a college look bad in the press is going to be dealt with harshly by those who run the college.

Other than a few songs I like, I don't really care for GNR. They had presence though - I will give them that.

I read somewhere he has spent 15 million dollars making this album.
