  1. His birth parents must have been young when he was born. They don't look all that much older than him. I had not heard the 6,000 gigs number before. I wonder if that is true.
  2. It sure seems like it. Mill Valley - if I recall correctly. I don't recall seeing Bob playing a Rickenbacker before.
  3. I didn't know Bob did an Elvis (teenage girl who became his wife). I wonder if that is the same house he has always lived in. There are photos of his place in the Playing In The Band book that look to be the same as what we see in the documentary. Speaking of houses - I was around the house at 710 back in the early 1980s. If I recall correctly - there was a gate in front of the steps back in those days. Whoever owned it at the time did not want people hanging around on the steps.
  4. I have hesitated for a while to post this here - but maybe I should. I lost my Mom two days after my birthday this past February and the first song that came to my mind was One Tree Hill. So that is what I posted on FB when I made the announcement. That song is about Greg Carroll, of course. But I figure it is for my Mom now. I doubt I can ever stand to hear that song again.
  5. Thanks for posting. Maybe they'll break out Heartland (probably not).
  6. Chris Stamp. I looked at a website about that film a while back.
  7. A Little Bit Of England (Black Sheep Squadron, S2E13, 1978) Guest star: Peter Frampton This episode has always amazed me. How did Peter Frampton end up on an episode of Black Sheep Squadron? And did coast watchers really have long flowing blonde hair? I think not.
  8. Interesting to see Joe playing a Strat.
  9. The one I saw had to do with him talking about his childhood bedroom. I don't know the new album enough to recall the what the songs are about yet.
  10. Rolling Stone I wonder why the show seems built around Bono's childhood? Or at least parts of it.
  11. This is interesting: I may have to check that out. (If this new sound can be heard on a Youtube video, that is. )
  12. A few surprises in there. Although PJ did a version of Leaving This Town some years back.
  13. A friend of mine is at the show. He has been posting photos on FB. He was actually at the very last GD show.
  14. I have the cd Pete Townshend Live: A Benefit for Maryville Academy (1999). Eddie is on two tracks - Magic Bus and Heart To Hang Onto. I have not listened to that cd in years. I may have to listen to it this weekend.
  15. We'll expect a debriefing at 06:00.
  16. That's a great song.
  17. More like old bald dudes wearing Rush t-shirts. I wonder why those shows just vanished from bt.etree.org? I don't get that. A rather nice video: Xanadu (5/12/2015)
  18. I don't recall ever seeing Rush shows there before either.
  19. I watched a few videos - but no AUD tapes. I see there are a few up at bt.etree.org.
  20. And The Fountain of Lamneth. I don't know what they are actually showing on the screen - but this is Mel's Rockpile (Youtube link) (for those who don't know what that's all about.)
  21. That's what they should play during the reunion shows - two hours of Dark Star and then walk off.
  22. It looks like they are changing some songs from night to night.
