  1. That sounds about right. I am buying it for the 2nd disc myself.
  2. I ordered the new one from Amazon (which is where I got the Exile re-issue). That seems to be the way it goes these days. I hope the sound is better than what they came up with on the Exile re-master. Walmart may have it. That is where I found all the recent Zeppelin re-masters.
  3. I don't recall where I learned that - maybe David Crosby's first book. I bought a few rock books recently - I've Always Kept a Unicorn (a book about Sandy Denny) All The Rage (Ian McLagan - I should have ordered that book from him when he was still around to sign it) Rock Encyclopedia (Lillian Roxon)
  4. For 5 bonus points you can name who Peter Fonda and Dennis were thinking of then they were creating the Easy Rider guys.
  5. I picked up the re-masters I didn't have the other day. Boy/October/War/Under A Blood Red Sky. I got them for a good price - except for War - which I paid too much for - 50 bucks.
  6. I thought it was alright. I guess you would call it a gritty police story. There are several stories going on along side the main story.
  7. I just read that book a week or so ago.
  8. There are stacks of those out there. But - some have not been let loose. You can read a lot about that whole deal in those taper's books. I believe one person was asking a million bucks.
  9. July 31st (I am surprised they are doing all three at the same time)
  10. That reminds me of the So Many Roads boxset from several years ago (1999). I actually own that one.
  11. There's a 4 disc version also. 30 Trips Around The Sun (4 discs)
  12. I am surprised to see David Marks in the band.
  13. It's a shame - as his guitar playing really made that album.
  14. I bet it's one of those two things. OR maybe both.
  15. I wonder why Mick Taylor is not playing shows on this tour. They must have had a falling out.
  16. You can read about that in the Shakey book.
  17. That's true. He usually says he can't remember things. I learned at some point - probably in the internet age - that it was him on guitar on that song.
  18. I think Neil does it as a means to spread his message. I doubt he makes very much of off album sales these days. I suppose this one might be grabbed by people curious about what he is putting down. I am down with his message - but that music is terrible.
  19. I guess he does not care at this point. I will say this - when he gets behind a cause he goes all the way.
  20. I could only make through about 2 minutes of this song. Whoever pays Neil to release these albums must be one unhappy person - or corporation. Neil Young + Promise Of The Real - A Rock Star Bucks A Coffee Shop (Official Music Video)
  21. I've always liked that song In God's Country. I think I have a poster from back in the day that has a photo of Bono on it and that song title on the bottom of the poster.
