Neil's posted a couple of things in recent days - this one is interesting:
-
I first saw that film when I was a kid at the drive-in theater. I actually own all the Billy Jack films on dvd.
-
There are actually 4 Billy Jack films. You should read up about Tom Laughlin for the hell of it.
-
I think they had a falling out about money the last time around.
-
I think part of it is due to the fact I use to watch The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau when I was a kid.
-
I did - on the previous page.
-
That is sort of why I bought it. I wanted to watch it - and could not find it streaming on Netflix. I also recently bought a film I first saw on PBS (of all places) a long time ago - Box of Moonlight (1996). It's a great film to watch on a Saturday summer evening.
-
Life Aquatic is my favorite one. I actually bought a dvd of it the other day.
-
I just read this morning that Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be in the film version of The Devil In The White City.
-
LOL Wilco Me already posted a thread about this guy the other day. Don't get too happy - as he has put down Wilco in the past.
-
It's for a good cause - so I will leave it at that.
-
It's anniversary re-issue season:
-
Another one of those "the film was in my shed for decades" stories. It's a shame, really.
-
I am curious to see The Man In The High Castle. And we may finally get to see The Dark Tower in a couple of years.
-
I have some of those on dvd. There is also one with Adam Ant and Bruce Dern called World Gone Wrong. It's from the late 80s though. It's on Youtube.
-
He has always championed Brian. I have his book Stone Alone - which is pretty good as I recall.
-
I have an intense dislike for him for some odd reason. Someone gave me a brand new copy of his book - but it just sits on the shelf. I guess there a few books about Brian out now. I don't think I have ever read any of them. There still seems to be some sort of ongoing deal about whether he was murdered or just accidentally drowned.
-
That's one of my favorites. Chris Robinson does a great version of that song.
-
Then you must like Silent Running - with the great Bruce Dern.
-
I'd say they made up for it though - Beggar's Banquet through Exile on Main St. are some of the greatest albums ever. He also probably hates the fact Bill Wyman sings a song on Satanic - In Another Land.
-
I think he has always been upset that they bought into the whole psychedelic movement for a brief time. So he always slams that time period. Plus - they were trying to copy The Beatles - which he also hates.
-
He's just wrong about Sgt. Pepper. There is no way that album is tossed together.
-
There was also a sequel called Futureworld.
