I never knew people didn't like Bear's Choice. I actually had that album back in the 80s when I didn't even really listen to the Grateful Dead.
-
I didn't know that. I've never really listened to/ or followed any of those bands.

Thanks for the report. I was just reading over Bill Walton's comments - and he notes Jeff was using an organ that belonged to Brent.

Tweedy interview and performance on CBS Saturday Morning
Analogman replied to BobDylan'sBeard's topic in Just A Fan
I wonder if that is the first time the whole family has been interviewed together on TV? I can't recall any other interviews such as that. -
Love of Music Declining With Age?

I never heard it until I was in my 30s. Actually - I learned about that album on here back in the day. -

It's one of those epic albums that gets overlooked - like Forever Changes. The 3 cd Andrew Sandoval/Rhino version is great. The three albums before that one are also great. That guy really knows his stuff. -
Thanks - I'll check that out. I'm not an exactly perfect expert on such things - but I wonder if some of what Trey was doing in Hell In A Bucket is what use to be called the "Tiger Jam".
-
I'd like to see some more. Maybe some more of the webcast will end up on YT at some point.
-
I have not heard or found the full show - but I did see a video from far away of Hell In Bucket. It sounded like Trey cut loose on that one.
-
It's hard to believe last night's shows has not been posted at bt.etree yet. I figured there would be multiple sources up there this morning.
-
It seemed pretty good to me. I am hoping to find the second set on YT.

Don't know how long this will stay up - GD (6/27/2015 1st Set)
-
The one I use to have did. I think I gave it away.
-
That's right. The drum sound is amazing.

I Can See For Miles Still one of the best sounding Who songs I ever heard.

Just saw this listed in an article about upcoming books:
-
I think someone asked about that over there. The Europe '72 shows were multi-track recorded (16 track - if I recall correctly). The Betty Boards are 2-track (open face reel-reel) recordings. Of course, we all know that.
-
A soundboard (Betty Board) of the Bickershaw Festival show just appeared on bt.etree yesterday. I may have to check that out.
-
I recently ordered some more rock music books. Apparently - someone took them or they never really got delivered. Amazon was nice enough to give me a refund. I will probably get that new Blair Jackson/David Gans book when it comes out this year.
-
I just noticed the other one was getting up there. I read somewhere today that Youtube is also streaming the upcoming shows. Speaking of books - I gave away my reprint of the The GD Family Album the other day. I could hardly read the thing - even with glasses on. I hope to get a first edition by way of Ebay or somewhere. I would say I wonder why they shrunk the reprint. But I suppose it has to do with money.
-
I would be surprised if the band did anything with those (Beggar's Banquet/Let it Bleed) as they are owned by ABKCO.
-
The title makes me think of Airships and Steampunk.

New Iron Maiden album - September 4th: I am curious to hear the 18 minute track.

Supposedly - Paul and Jimmy made a pact to not play any Bad Company or LZ songs. Robert would not play any LZ songs either (in the beginning, anyhow). When I saw him in the fall of 1990 he was playing a few LZ songs.
