  1. Just wanted to know how people ranked their Anderson films. My list goes: 1) The Royal Tenenbaums 2) Rushmore 3) The Life Aquatic 4) The Darjeeling Limited 5) The Fantastic Mr. Fox 6) Bottle Rocket Enjoy!
  2. Is it weird for anyone else to watch the little boy from Jurrasic Park running around with a machine gun covered in blood?
  3. 1. People who are conversation "one uppers" (like you tell a story and theirs must top it) 2. Putting on clothes in the bathroom if it is still steamy from the shower 3. Shoes with laces 4. 4. Love the Southern Rock love in this one! For the record, this is totally a favorites, not who is the best kinda thing for anyone else who wants to chime in....
  5. That might be the coolest fucking thing I have ever seen
  6. My personal top 10 feel better songs are (in no particular order): 1) The Weight (The Band) 2) No One's Gonna Love You (Band of Horses) 3) Hey Jude (Wilson Pickett version) 4) Twist and Shout (The Beatles) 5) Shelter From The Storm (Bob Dylan) 6) Trench Town Rock (Bob Marley) 7) Stay With Me (The Faces) 8) The Happy Song (Dum-Dum) (Otis Redding) 9) Instant Karma! (John Lennon) 10) Via Chicago (Wilco)
  7. If the new Band of Horses album turns out to be half as good as the new Vampire Weekend and the new Frightened Rabbit then this year is offically golden for me.
  8. LOL, yes, I think we can all agree John and George did ok. Iwas curious how long it would take for an "english wilco" (Radiohead) comment to pop up.
  9. It broke my heart. Here is why. My best friend and talk music more than anything else. It is part of the glue that binds us (such as the case in many friendships). For the most part we had always agreed on most things this side of say a TV on the Radio (he hated, I loved). When Sky Blue Sky came out I gave him call to give my opinion and here his. For me, Sky Blue was a bit of a disappointment given what had come prior to it. What I mean to say is it was a disappointment in the way that some feel Goat's Head Soup is a disappointment only because it followed Exile On Main St. The level
  10. Dude, how can they be your favorite if you don't know their names? Look at all they do for us, the least we can do is learn their names.
  11. I don't want Ronnie Wood ANYWHERE near Mick Taylor guitar parts for overdubing or tinkering with years after the fact. I just don't get why more people don't appreciate how important the Mick was.
  12. Very cool and diverse three! I was a bit suprised you left out any ABB combos considering how much you contribute to that thread. Hey, is your avatar photo of Marc Bolan? Cause if it is that makes you three times cooler than push pops, and we all know push pops rock.
  13. I also wanted to say that I find it very cool that for the most part we can not reach a concensus on a top three. I think that is a true mark of being a fan of this band is that we all love them for so many different reasons. Sorry if this a tad whimsical lol.
  14. Ok, but I'm sorry, I can not and will not leave out the Mermaid Ave. albums. I just consider Guthrie and Bragg members of the band for a hot minute. Oh, and many people leave out the album that comes with The Wilco Book. I also think including Kicking Televison isn't really fair, I mean it's kinda like a live greatest hits album. 1) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 2) Being There 3) A Ghost Is Born 4) Mermaid Ave. II 5) Summerteeth 6) Mermaid Ave. I 7) Sky Blue Sky 8) Am 9) The Wilco Book 10) Wilco (The Album)
  15. Wilco taught me so many things about music (like I'm sure is true for many of us). One of the biggest things I learned was how much I love a band with at least two guitarists. So I was just wondering what are some of your favorite guitar duos of all time. I know this is a pretty simple post but I just love to talk music and I am so excited I finally took the time to check out this page. Ok, anywho, my top three are: 1) Mick Taylor, Keith Richards 2) Duane Allman, Dickey Betts 3) Nels Cline, Jeff Tweedy
  16. I saw Camper Van Beethoven open for Modest Mouse at The Fox in ATL. To hear the Take The Skinheads Bowling by the original band was badass and almost made you forget how much time the lead singer wasted in Cracker. The Mouse were off their nuts that night too.
