Saw the Decemberists at the Ryman a couple of weeks ago. I used to kinda like them, but Meloy was being real whiny with the crowd. Sadly, it left a bad taste in my mouth for that band as a whole

I was not overly impressed the first time I heard it. Now though, I listen to it all the time. I love it. There is so much going on in that song that it took me a few listens to process it. Its a fantastic song. Here is a great acoustic version of it...

Tough one. I am going to have to rank these based on how often I listen to them. 1) Being There 2) A Ghost Is Born 3) Summerteeth 4) Sky Blue Sky 5) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 6) AM 7) Wilco (The Album) The hardest to place for me are both AM and YHF because I really like those albums, but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them

I thought the song was really good. As with the song he did on the Stombo show (Open Mind), I am interested/excited to hear what the full band does with it. This quote from the article excited me the most: "Now, I don’t remember ever feeling as good about the process as I did on this most recent record. It seems like everyone really got their licks in, and everyone on almost every song had an opportunity to kind of have free reign and take it wherever they wanted to go without a whole a lot of inhibition."
