I could really use a Solid Sound update today, Wilco.
-
Anyone know if they're streaming tomorrow night too?
-
Jeff is wearing his hair in a pony tail. Has this ever happened?
Pigtails actually. A little Willie Nelson-ish.
-
Is there a pretty good chance we will see two nights of Wilco and one Tweedy performance like last time?
Maybe I'm taking it too literally, but the Shows page on Wilcoworld lists 3 nights

The party at Songbyrd in D.C. was fun. They were playing video from the Tiny Desk Concert and other shows while spinning Schmilco. Maybe fifty people there, but they definitely weren't all there for Wilco. A person at my table won a copy of the vinyl and they gave away a slip mat that I would have liked to have. Apparently UPS failed to deliver their copies of the album in time for the party, but we have been promised a chance to win one via email tomorrow. Wish me luck. It's the pink vinyl :-D

Happy Birthday, Jeff!
Thanks for the amazing show last Sunday and for being my sonic shoulder for all these years.
-
I'm excited about the return of rugby to the Olympics, especially in sevens.
-
So, what do you think would have been good album titles? Too early to speculate on Schmilco, but how about the other releases?
-
Last week I saved Wilco HQ contact info and noticed that the vCard file was called Schmilco.vcf . Way to bury a hint, Wilco!

An old work friend of mine made it out to The National show at Mass MoCa a few weekends ago & I saw that he stayed there. It's very quaint, but a decent looking option. I don't think that there's a thread solely for Solid Sound accommodations, so I'll leave it here.
Looks like a nice place. I'll definitely look into it ... if we ever get an announcement.

I enjoyed my first trip to Chicago for the Vic shows so much, I'm thinking about returning for the show in August. Anyone have an extra ticket in the pavilion? Thanks.

Someone on jayfarrar.net posted a link to "Jeff & the boys using Max's (Weinberg's) horns on "Monday" 8-14-97" unfortunately link no longer works.

The lullaby was sweet!

I bought VIP for Saturday.
I didn't even see VIP option. Oh well. I'm just glad to have a couple of tickets. This will be my first trip to the Vic - or Chicago for that matter!
EDIT - now I see it. Duh.
-
Will call was my only option - I guess it's because I'm out of state (VA). But I picked up two for each night. Did anyone get VIP tickets?
-
Happy (belated) Birthday, Donna! Hope you had a good one.

Wilco in Pittsburgh tonight for first show of 2016. Anybody around here going?
I'll be there!
-
I'm chiming in late, but I think you'll be fine. All major roads in and around Pittsburgh are completely clear, and many of the side roads are too, although there's plenty of slushy mess on sidewalks and parking lots.
If you pass Somerset on the PA Turnpike before 1:30, you should be able to pick up 91.3 FM (WYEP) for the interview.
We'll be at the Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room on 7th Street before the show if you want to meet up.
Have a safe trip and hope to see you there!
-
Wilco interview and in studio performance at WYEP on Monday January 25 at 1:30 pm ahead of their show in Pittsburgh. www.wyep.org

Today I out ran the blizzard to make sure I could get to Pittsburgh for Wilco on Monday.
-
I am on Benedum's web site now and there are a couple of singles still available. Row C center. Maybe you should upgrade!

I feel exactly the same. Sorry to be sappy, but this is my happy place. quote name="twoshedsjackson" post="1598052" timestamp="1478728462"]
Looking forward to Solid Sound even more today. It's probably the only place I'll be reasonably sure I'm not completely surrounded by fascist assholes.
