Same here. I'm blown away.
-
That's funny. I played a buddy of mine, who had never listened to the band, Shame, Shame and he immediately thought of the Lips. I don't really hear it. Maybe a little, I guess.
-
Nah, that's cool. I found a stream of the video. Thanks.
-
Is this from a recent SXSW show, or old one? Link? I will definitely be making the May 1st show at Emo's (w/ Deer Tick).
-
Thanks for the heads up, Beltmann!
-
Agreed. "Is this WilCo County?"
-
I hope they never play in Cedar Park again. That place blows. I really enjoyed the Can't Stand It.

No, no, no. Round Room is actually their most underrated record, IMO. It holds up. Joy is ok. It has its moments.
-
Changed The Locks and Joy are 2 of the best songs she has ever written.
-
How is this? His first one, right? I haven't listened to any of his early stuff. Can you recommend some of his best early work? I hear Where'd You Hide the Body is really good.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in the 3 tracks from the new record that are out there.

Monsters of Folk (James, Oberst & Ward)

Nah, James and Ward have been positive influences on Conor. He's not nearly as pretentious and whiny any more. -

I don't know. Yim Yames sounds pretty legit.
