After Life (by Ricky Gervais).
Loved it and it killed me.

My profile says I joined June 17, 2003. One the one hand I thought I joined earlier but on the other, that's a long time ago!
I've certainly picked up lots of great recommendations for music, books, and movies here. And lived through the B+P era. There were some very kind people who shared some great music with me.
Happy birthday!

Saw Dylan last night.
Well, Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers. It was good. I am not particularly a fan so I didn't have many expectations. Aside from the hits and a Petty cover, I didn't know any of the songs. But it was solid. And he was definitely a more engaged performer than any time I have ever seen his father.

Read to the very end of today's email from Wilcoworld.
Looks like they have some extras of the split single with S-K for sale.

That's an excellent documentary. I watched it a while ago and now I forgot how I accessed it. Did you have to pay for it? How did you watch it?
I think I saw it listed on my local PBS station so I recorded it. (I'm in Mass. so it might have more local interest.)

I have not seen it mentioned but I watched a great documentary last night called Museum Town. It's about the history of North Adams and the development of Mass MOCA. There are a couple of short clips of Wilco playing, and John is listed as "music supervisor" and "composer" and Mikael is listed as providing "additional composition."
The Wilco angle aside I thought it was really well done, and an interesting look at the role that art and culture play in economic development.

I've been listening to this (Home Video by Lucy Dacus) a lot, particularly the song Triple Dog Dare.

Listening to this for the first time in probably 20 years. It's solid.
