  1. Google search Jay Bennett Wilco amplifier or effects and you will get a story from Guitar Player circa Summerteeth which discusses what was used for that album. I don't recall offhand, but a good question.
  2. How about this one I would LEAST like to see .... now there is a fun thread. Dylan Admits Plagiarism, Entire Catalog Actually Penned by Chuck Barris Christian Coalition Purchases Itunes and Amazon.com, Republicans Outlaw Internet Porn Jeff Tweedy - My year in the Sandbox Neil Young joins Muslims, Declares Jihad on Crosby There. I'm tapped.
  3. I for one would tend to think that Willie's beauzac was rather plush and velvety. At least that's what Waylon said. A pound and a half doesn't get you time in LA? Amazing!!!
  4. I had a buddy with a Led Zep tribute basement where we used to jam and imbibe as we got older. Very similar to Wilco in that each Zep album has its own timbre to it. I - almost entirely hard blues II - very similar but a step up in recording and sound expansion III - Very varied with some great acoustic stuff, some blues, and some rockers - "Celebration Day" is better live though. IV - You already know most of it from Classic rock radio - hold off if you are looking for something new Houses - Change in musicianship - very production based - Less straight forward rockers Physical Graffiti
  5. Any New England dates? Maybe near the NYC gig? I haven't been since last April in New Mexico! And not waaaaaay out in western Mass either, please?
  6. That was the most anti-climactic season, and in this case series, finale I have ever had the displeasure of casting mine critic's eye upon in many years. It seems that some cocksucker, not knowing the difference between a piece d'art and a heaping pile of shit has decided to cease production of my entertainment without appropriate consultation. Oh well, I guess I'll just slit a whore's throat to assuage the tension rising up from my fucking gullet like a tidal wave of piss.
  7. Very cool! I love early recorded music such as this. Outstanding stuff! Thanks!!
  8. Two words - Brian Henneman. I loved Leroy's piano work - but did not hold him in very high regard for his guitar playing, as if that really matters.
  9. I went through a separation in June 2001, which was on and off through Thanksgiving of 2002. During that time my wife, whom I married in '96, stayed in our duplex, and I lived in my parents 2000 sq. ft. basememt family room. I went through moments of rage, sadness, shame, embarassment, etc., We hired attornies, and had the ball rolling, but never went through with it, and eventually totally reconciled. I feared that I was going to go through a horrible depression, but what got me through, besides Zoloft and buying waaaaay too many guitars, was a dedication to our daughter, and making every dec
  10. Are those lovely Watson Twins along for the ride, too?
  11. It seems that music was more influential at the time acros the pond, but one of my Britsh coworkers is very hip to that movement. I always have to explain Fairport as the singer from Zep's "Battle for Evermore."
  12. Fairport Convention's Liege and Lief is one of my top ten favorite records. I am surprised to see it mentioned n the media however, though it pleases me, which is good.
  13. The Barney Kessels's were available from mid sixties to early 70's. He got that as a gift from Sue, and caled it his favorite guitar.
  14. 1. Sopranos 2. The Wire 3. Deadwood 4. Six Feet Under 5. Carnivale

  16. Bought my tix today for Manchester NH. Taking the wife and 6 year old daughter so she can say she saw Dylan before he dies. As those of you attend preceding shows, please post any comments and reviews so as I can prepare my self and family. BTW I have been blaring 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue double CD and it may be one of the greatest things I have ever heard.
  17. I want to play this at my school's Memorial Day Assembly so if anyone can help soon I would greatly appreciate it.
