Wilco, travel, learning about craft beer, getting outdoors to hike/camp/kayak, and looking for a man that also shares these interestes :)

I sold it, but had someone else ask me about whether people can use the space whose names aren't on the original reservation. Does anyone know? I'd hate for her to have a problem getting in (Even with the parking pass I sent her) and being stuck without a place to stay.

I have one Solid Ground plot/parking permit for sale. It was $98 with fees and I just want to get my money back. Unfortunately my plans with other people just didn't work out and I won't be camping after all. If interested, please message me and we can figure payment out via PayPal. I won't be able to respond immediately, but will be checking messages this evening/tonight.

Stub Hub wouldn't let me edit the description. It really doesn't allow for many details, and of course now there's an issue. Definitely learned my lesson and won't be using them again.

I have 4 Solid Sound Festival 3-day child tickets (ages 7-10) available for purchase. This was the embarrassing result of a rushed-through purchase when Early Bird tickets went on sale. Sigh. At least I did get the proper tickets eventually, but now I'm stuck with 4 child tickets and no children. I paid face value for them, $224 with fees, but willing to sell them for $35 each, or best offer. I'll sell them individually or as a group of 4. Solid Sound Festival is a great family event and I want kids to be able to enjoy the experience. They're up on StubHub right now as this has proved to be

An Evening with Wilco on April 2nd at the Sydney Opera House! My favorite band playing (hopefully) a long show in my favorite city. Lived there for 6 months in college and ever since have been saving up my frequent flier miles specifically for going back. Is it time??

So so so excited! The news today just completely made my month. I'm sure it will be another amazing lineup... hoping the weather is just as amazing, for us Solid Ground-goers.

Heard Impossible Germany in the fitting room at Lord & Taylor while dress shopping for a friend's wedding. Then I heard Born Alone at TopShop in London last October, the day before their 2-night stop (I'd traveled from Boston) Also heard a guitarist playing Outtasight Outtamind in a NYC subway station last December. I was so excited I gave him $5 before my train came.... and I never give those people money. And I just saw the movie Friends with Kids as mentioned below... not a good movie, but it opens with A Shot in the Arm. Which I had mixed feelings about - if they keep getting mor

Wilco — 8/1/12, Hartford, CT (Mortensen Hall at The Bushnell)
MareBear713 replied to bböp's topic in After The Show
Thanks for posting this! I skipped out early on in the encore to avoid traffic out of Hartford and was really curious about what I missed. Good set tonight - mostly the usual songs, but a few fun ones thrown in. Always good to hear Side with the Seeds and Rising Red Lung. Beautiful theater! The audience immediately near me was pretty stiff and not very fun, but this was a Connecticut crowd on a Wednesday night after all (jk) -
At the NFF, there is a "Guthrie Family Reunion" in the lineup Saturday 5:35pm-6:35pm which you know they would join if they weren't going to be in Cooperstown. Crossing my fingers for California Stars... and hopefully a break from the rain in time for the show.

I'm sort of on the opposite side of the gender divide. My ex introduced me to Wilco years ago, I got more into them after I heard more and more of their music. While a few of their songs reminded me of him for a while, I've gotten over it and just enjoy their music for what it is, and the new memories I've made since (seeing them in Prague, London, and around the US). After several years and being in the middle of heavily-male audiences, I thought I'd meet another guy who I could share a Wilco interest with... ... but after seeing all these comments, it looks like most of these guys already

I really want to go to Ommegang too (Wilco + brewery + baseball hall of fame? No brainer). Think it's too much after going to Newport the night before? Traveling from Boston.

For the pre-sale on Ticketmaster, I had the option to have tickets delivered to my house. I got them last week already! So excited.

Another great show! Although 'An Evening with Wilco' in April 2010 was three solid hours of amazing Wilco-ness. I would LOVE 39 songs again!! 2 hours felt way too short, especially when it took at least 30 minutes to wait in line for our tickets, check out the merch booth, and get a drink (not to mention the line for the ATM in order to pay for said drink, since nowhere seemed to be accepting credit cards.). Please do another Evening with Wilco again! Loved all 39 songs and loved the living room set design. Boston peeps - I picked up a second poster of the 9/20 show and ended up not using it
