^^^ That should be a great show. I found out about Jesse Malin about a year ago from a guy I was sitting next to at an Alejandro Escovedo show so its funny (to me) to see them on the same bill.

I got 4 in the 4th row of the balcony for Saturday night. The Chicago Theater is beautiful and the sound is great, but I'm not a fan of seeing shows there. Despite my age, I prefer to get to a venue early, stand and get as close as possible to the stage.

The first two that come to mind are R.E.M. in September, 1982 at Huff Gymnasium in Champaign, IL (five bucks to get in) and Wilco in Chicago on the Being There Tour.
