  1. What a loss. R.I.P., John. "Flag Decal" was one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar -- a long time ago.
  2. I first saw R.E.M. on September 24, 1982 at Huff Gym in Champaign, IL. Five bucks to get in! A sweaty, pogo-ing, delirious experience. I saw them twice after that -- 1986 at the UIC Pavilion (Camper Van Beethoven opened) and in 1995 at the Rosemont Horizon with Luscious Jackson as the opener.
  3. I;m not sure I've ever seen Jeff appear happier as he did when Basil was licking his face during "Pick Up The Change." Classic.
  4. Bill Withers passed away yesterday at the age of 81. He overcame a serious stutter to write and perform so many great songs, R.I.P. Bill.
  5. Thanks for putting these up on YouTube.
  6. My nomination for the Official Song of the 2020 Global Pandemic is: Ambiguity Song by Camper Van Beethoven https://youtu.be/oWHA-bNHp7A "One day soon, It will all settle down, But everything seems to be up in the air at this time." What's your nomination? Be well, everyone.
  7. I find the roll of viewer comments on the Instagram feed to be distracting, BUT I admit that I smiled when I saw yours and remphish1's pop up within 20 seconds of each other.
  8. Not good. Apparently John is in critical condition and has been intubated.
  9. Hey, Boss. How's the new Waxahatchee album? Was thinking about picking it up.
  10. Illinois was the best team in the county in 2004-2005. It's too bad they couldn't win that final game against NC. Thankfully, the 2005 White Sox came along . . . Anyway, sorry for the hijack. Back to COVID-19
  11. ^^^ Yep. Just finished watching a replay of the Greatest NCAA Tournement Game Of All Time -- Illinois 90 Arizona 89 (OT) in the 2005 Midwest Regional Finals. My spirits have been lifted (for now).
  12. The series finale of Fleabag is brilliant. Loved the whole series.
  13. Watched it again last night. Jeff and Sammy did a killer duet cover of the Minutemen's "History Lesson -- Part 2." I find the Tweedy Show to frequently make me uncomfortable -- but I can't look away.
