- Dave Douglas and his band were fantastic on Saturday. The tuba player was producing sounds I never would have thought possible out of a tuba. Nels seemed to be enjoying it as well. - Wilco playing Hotel Arizona on Friday. Introducing the song, Jeff correctly knew that he would forget some of the words which is indicative of how rarely they play the tune live. My favorite song off of Being There. - Playing frisbee with my daughters on Joe's Field on Saturday afternoon, with the mud squishing between our toes.

Keeping fingers crossed - Steady connection since At Least. I can see Nels doing his I stuck my finger in an electric socket spastic movements during these grungey guitar breaks in Handshake Drugs, leading into dueling soaring notes with Jeff...

What a fantastic show! Wife and I were standing 4 rows back directly in front of Jeff. Band seemed to be having lots of fun. Jeff seemed to be genuinely impressed with the level of crowd participation for Jesus, etc. Highlights included Laminated Cat, the generous number of selections from Being There and watching Mike go crazy on his keyboards with what looked to be a pillow. Many shows have a point where the energy level hits a zenith: Last night, for me, it was the second chorus of Shot in the Arm where for a moment (Bloodier than Blood) all the cosmic tumblers clicked into place.

Wife and I are really looking forward to Lupo's. To prepare, we've got the Sonos on Wilco random play, an audio backdrop which will continue all weekend. Just completed example: I Thought I Held You -> Impossible Germany -> Woodgrain -> Deeper Down. OK, so we probably won't be hearing Woodgrain Sunday night (I hope not) but most anything else is possible, right? Really hoping for the acoustic Not for the Seasons that I've been reading about!!!

Love John Candy from Blues Brothers: "Who Wants an Orange Whip? Orange Whip? Orange Whip? Three Orange Whips." Good line to use when going for a round. Loading a photo is one of the options from editing your profile, which you can access by clicking the down arrow next to your name. I think it's under "My Settings" My wife and I are really looking forward to this show at Lupos. We saw Wilco there the same week that YHF was released. At that point it was Wilco circa Jeff, Leroy, John and Glenn. It was a pretty raw show, almost like it was a carthartic release for Tweedy. They opened wit

I'm still anxiously awaiting Providence tix as well. I do feel better about it having read Front Gate Ticket's policy of sending out the tix about 2 weeks prior to the event. Won't feel so good if I don't get them this week though...

Back on the topic of receiving tix from Front Gate: Anybody receive their tix to the Providence show yet? I haven't and am starting to get a little antsy...
