When the revolution comes, we'll be greatly rewarded. We are like the Death Eaters who stayed loyal even when Voldemort was in hiding.

Don't you mean Scott Brosius, dummy?

As much as I wish this were true, and as much as I would go to that show, I have a hard time believing it since they are currently in Europe.

I love it when otherwise intelligent people say unimaginably stupid things about baseball. Alex Rodriguez has posted WARP3's of more than 10 8 of the last 9 years. He hasn't had a Slugging % under .500 in 11 years, hasn't hit less than 30 homers or driven in less than 100 runs in as many years, and hasn't scored less than 100 in any full season. He's won 2 MVP's and finished in the top ten 7 times, and won 8 silver sluggers. He has 7 years of OPS higher than 1.000, and has never posted an OBP below .350 In other words, Alex Rodriguez wins a lot of baseball games by himself. He is absurdly

Studio version of "the thanks I get" in commercial.

On this board? I really don't remember too many JAF threads being locked quickly. Ones dealing with the band's personal life and ones that go on for too long and don't have anything to do with the topic will get locked, obviously. But other than that they pretty much let anything fly. -

The page went on for like 47 pages. How did that not last long? I can remember maybe 5 threads in JAF being locked ever. -

I bet A-rod doesn't like The Things They Carried, that asshole. I wonder if he thinks Jeff sold out. I bet he does... -

I thought that was an amazing book, especially as a person who wants to be a writer, as it deals almost as much with the nature of storytelling and writing as it does with the war. -
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-m...p&type=lgns Which is why there is an easy solution for the Jays the next time they play the Yankees if they felt so cheated and blah blah blah

I hope Jeff remembers who was defending him. We're the real heroes.

That's My Bush was groundbreaking.

People were saying the same thing in 2004. The guy's a headcase, and he pitches better when there's no pressure on him. There won't be much pressure on him in Florida. And we aren't substantially improved by the addition of Benitez, it was improved by gaining Benitez for a mediocre middle reliever, especially since we only have to pay him the league minimum. I can't imagine a scenario where Benitez isn't worth at least the league minimum. He's lost some velocity, but not counting his last 2 outing (one that included a couple of complete bullshit balks) he was doing pretty good this season.

Good bit. A young dominant center is probably more valuable than a young dominant forward, in my opinion. That said, LeBron can take over a game when he wants to, huh.
-
Wow. What a game by Lebron. Incredible.
-
Owens will probably be the 7th inning guy, with either Kevin Gregg or Benitez closing. I'm liking our bullpen alot after this move.

Igawa shouldn't have a future with the Yankees. The root of the problem isn't Giambi, is the point of my post. He had nothing to do with why you were losing, and his departure will have nothing to do with you guys winning in the time he's out. The Marlins give up Randy Messenger. The Giants give us Armando Benitez and they are paying for his entire salary. I love this trade, to be honest. Benitez is only a slight upgrade over Messenger and we're not paying him a cent.
-
Thats a good team regardless of Giambi playing or not. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go on a little run once they get Wang, Pettite, Mussina, and Rocket pitching, and then all of the idiot sports writers and idiot yankees fans will say it's because Giambi isn't clogging up the basepaths (Dusty Baker) and that Cabrera plays with more heart and grit and true yankeeism. And they'll be flat out wrong.
-
Apparently it's Randy Messenger. Not an awful trade. Messy's got a live arm, but he's got the straightest fastball ever.

I'm thinking we should all pitch in buy jeff a plane ticket to Miami and we'll do the show in my house. We've got a big open living room with high cielings.

Sorry. In other news: Giants | Team trades Benitez to Marlins Thu, 31 May 2007 18:28:55 -0700 Henry Schulman, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports the San Francisco Giants have traded CL Armando Benitez to the Florida Marlins. The deal could be announced following the Giants' game against the New York Mets Thursday, May 31. It is unclear what the Giants will receive in return, but it is believed to be a major league player. "meh". Wonder who we gave up.
-
At least they won't clog up the basepaths.
-
"good bit". Dan Uggla is leading the National league with 33 Extra Base Hits. The top 2 in that category are both 2B.

I was just joshin' you, kid.

It is, isn't it, Mr. FireJoeMorgan celebrity? :angry :angry :angry

Well, you wouldn't be able to play the file with the DRM on it, would you? You'd have to burn it to a cd and then re-rip it, thus lowering the quality.
