  1. Context is a really important thing to consider sometimes.
  2. Anyways. I'm not surprised at all that Palin backtracked on the "mission from God" bit. Shit makes me nervous that she would even say it.
  3. I was referring more specifically to Analogman. If you hate me so much, there's an ignore option.
  4. A 1 page diversion into good natured silliness should not require two Moderators and the hall monitor's attention, that's all I'm saying. Anyways: I'm sorry for attacking dumb people with my post. I'll take a 24 hour break now.
  5. Analogman didn't post the rules of the board when she went on her little tirade. That's who.
  6. By the angry guy in the first row. Watch out.
  7. I'm almost 100% Jnick knows I'm just joshing him. but yeah, let's overlook people calling other people "stinky dildoes" and focus on that quote. Good bit, Serpico.
  8. But if you take out quotes from atheists, it's like 8,000 words total.
  9. I dunno, but I can't wait for them to give him a 15 mil a year contract to be a middle of the road closer. Woo!
  10. There's probably a solid 50 or 60 posts worth of material in those 3,000
  11. A case could be made for Roy Halladay. NL Cy Young: Dan Haren AL Cy Young: Cliff Lee NL MVP: Albert Pujols AL MVP: Pedrioa (I guess...)
  12. Longwinded blowhardiness was one of the categories, right? John Smith definitely takes that one. Well, hell, if everyone's gonne douchey, this thread doesn't have long left anyways. I might as well get my shots in.
  13. That would be a not so good case to make. Hanley Ramirez is the most valuable player in the national league for this season, for what it's worth. But Albert Pujols will win the NL MVP, and he absolutely should. We might be watching a top 3 hitter of all time with him.
  14. woah, Jnick has 3,000 posts already? They grow up so fast...
  15. I'd pick Sabathia as MVP but not Cy Young, personally.
  16. http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jh...tember-11,-2001 Here's Jon's. I still think this is the best thing he's ever done. What does it say about me that the easiest way for me to feel better about bad things is to watch other people's way of getting over it.
  17. My favorite was the one that was done in October in MSG where the Who just absolutely brought the house down. Remains to this day one of the best performances I've ever seen, in person or otherwise.
  18. Ok, so he made one joke off the cuff in bad taste. Doesn't change that he seems like a cool guy.
  19. Hucksbee seemed like the only likable guy on either side during the primaries. I don't like his politics, but he actually seemed like a really cool person.
  20. i want to punch anyone who votes k-rod for MVP in the face.
  21. how could I forget 'my city of ruins'? That's such an emotional performance.
  22. I was always loved that one plus Neil young's 'imagine', pearl jam's 'long road', and wyclef's 'redemption song.' those always kicked my ass.
  23. jon Stewarts monologue the first night he was back always moves me to tears. Also, the two big benefit shows in the weeks following got very heavy play from me for a long time.
  24. A few of the hijackera lived in my town fir a few months...
