Saw Weezer on Letterman tonight...
Sir Stewart replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
I gotta say - take away all you know about Weezer, if that was some band I'd never really heard of, I'd be awestruck. That performance was pretty cool. That song has a nice Brill Building feel going on. -
What is up with Male Prima Donna? Did I miss something?

Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame Concert 10/30 setlist
Sir Stewart replied to u2roolz's topic in After The Show
Oh, U2. Man, every other setlist over these two nights is like "wow" - and U2's sucks. WTF. 'Vertigo'? You're celebrating the entire history of rock music boys - try opening with 'Streets' or something. And Black Eyed Peas? According to Jann Wenner on Charlie Rose last week, the bands had their pick of who would join them onstage. And U2 picked Black Eyed Peas? Man. U2. WTF. Also - Jeff Beck really only got to do one tune? EDIT: Apparently not. More info here: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2009/10/31/more-from-the-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-concert-night-two/ -
FWIW, I don't have you on ignore, I just ignore you.

"Nobody eats chicken anymore."
-
All I know is it's pretty pathetic to camp out overnight in a blizzard to get the equivalent of $150 worth of chicken metered out weekly over a year.
-
I read the book over and over as a kid. And it wasn't because it only gave me the warm feelings of a happy ending. It was unsettling. When Max is leaving, the monsters cry that they'll eat him up, they love him so. Perhaps if it was released today, the book would be deemed unfit for kids?

I've had Chick-Fil-A once and it was awesome. None around here. Hey Flick! What the hell is wrong with you?
-
I just feel stupid for posting anything in this thread now. EDIT: except the magazine called LoftLife one.
-
Awesome.
-
So you're poking fun at people with whom you agree. Got it now.
-
So you really have a problem with the location of the Loft not being easily accessible on this site?
-
From here: The snow and chilly weather didn't deter people from the prospect of free chicken. More than 100 people camped outside a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Fort Collins overnight Thursday for a chance to win a year's worth of free weekly chicken meals. They huddled around propane heaters supplied by the store and were invited inside for hot chocolate and cookies just before bedding down in sleeping bags and tents.

Looks pretty good. Reminds me of Backbeat a bit, and that Lennon TV movie from a few years ago, but not in a bad way. I could watch Beatle-based movies til the cows come home.
-
I think doing the opposite of that is the bread-and-butter of many Christian rockers out there.
-
There's a magazine called LoftLife?
-
There it is.
-
I rented it because I woke up from surgery with the setting of Polynesiantown in my head. Moranis' Woody Allen is absolutely uncanny. Just watched your link to Ride Like The Wind - hadn't seen that in forever. The Yacht Rock guys owe their whole shtick to that skit.
-
I watched Volume 1 of that last week, recovering from knee surgery, on percosets...maybe the best stuff ever, yeah. Not very often you can say that every regular cast member of a show is a comic genius, but can say it for that.

Speaking of cocky - PEDRO! (headline is misleading - article has some great quotes from Pedey).
-
He sure was last night - I loved every cocky second of it.
