  1. I've always thought that would be a pretty cool little movie to make. George in Southern Illinois, 1963, walking around while his sister's at work, chatting up the locals who have no idea who this boy is, and 1964 is around the corner.
  2. I know, right? Speed Racer's fount of AeroForceOne knowledge is far and away the highlight of this thread.
  3. I wish Tyler would whip out his big ten inch. Bluezy Aerosmith > Armageddon soundtrack Aerosmith
  4. This whole thing is so fucked-up, insecure, neurotic, and emotional (did you already use that?)
  5. 5 well-regarded albums I've never ever heard before from 5 different genres (rock/pop/folk, classical, jazz, hip-hop, country/western).
  6. It's gotta be a victim of overhype in this case. I bet if you saw it without hearing much about it (and before the award season), you'd have seen a different film. Not dissing - I think this happens a lot in general.
  7. I found myself liking the guy right away, and his mom. But I still haven't been able to get through 50 pages. Like I said though, I'm sure I'll dig it someday.
  8. I'd like to know what Perry's saying in this vid.
  9. Do I spot Sky Blue Sky in the second-from-the-bottom row of the right-side rack? Also, may I borrow your Nuggets box?
  10. There isn't a song in Wilco's canon that isn't a pop song.
  11. That reminds me - I caught a great episode of The Simpsons last night, apparently from this past season (Lisa has a best friend and they become too detached from reality). I seriously had no idea a Simpsons episode could still be that good. I haven't watched new episodes in years. That said, the movie sucked.
  12. Tyler Perry's Diary Of The Mad White Toxic Twins
  13. Now we can all go back to not thinking about current day Aerosmith.
  14. This is always fun to retell. When I saw Aerosmith in 1989, the opening act was Skid Row. Singer Sebastian Bach noted his enthusiasm thusly: "Opening for Aerosmith at the Boston Garden, man!! This is like opening for the fuckin' Pope at the fuckin' Vatican!!!"
  15. For me, 1980 was a big year for the Popeye movie soundtrack and Cheap Trick's In Color/& Black and White.
  16. ZZ Top has Aerosmith beat by more than a year, when you consider that Aerosmith pretty much broke up in the late seventies and resurfaced without Perry or Whitford in the early 80s. WHEN THE LIGHTNING STRIIIKES!
  17. This was on heavy rotation in my house when I was little. Damn edited version of 'Sweet Emotion' though, WTF.
  18. FWIW, they really fuckin burned out when they were stoned.
  19. 10:06 AM me: http://www.boston.co...uits_aerosmith/ me: "(Perry)said: "As far as replacing Steve... We'll probably find somebody else that will sing in those spots where we need a singer and then we'll be able to move the Aerosmith up a notch, move the vibe up a notch."" Sean: "probably" me: "We'll probably find somebody else that will sing in those spots where we need a singer" ? Sean: now i have Rag Doll stuck in my head me: I have Dude Looks Like Lady "ya-ka-ka-kaw!" Sean: "ya never see me comin' out the back door, maaaan" me: "sket doo deh, bumb bumb bahp" Sean: "babay wontcha do me bab
  20. What blue said. Once the option of not having my home overloaded with little plastic jewel cases presented itself, the CD went the way of the dodo for me.
  21. Last CD I bought....maybe The Beastie Boys' "The Mix-Up", when it came out, in 2007.
