  1. Right - when Stewart said something like "your network needs to be more accountable and I can go back to making fart jokes." As if The Daily Show is strictly lowbrow physical humor. Ridiculous.
  2. Car Talk advises, then directs callers to their mechanics, always. (btw nice way of trapping me into admitting I'm an NPR addict)
  3. Did you read Mister Vertigo or The Music of Chance? I'd put those three on about the same level (Moon Palace a bit higher).
  4. Did you watch it? If so, did you really not feel some sort of visceral reaction that Stewart was, if nothing else, trying to call a spade a spade?
  5. JUDE - you were going to write what you wrote no matter what anyone said in the thread to that point. Any chance to appear contradictory in social threads, you'll take it.
  6. I probably am - love that book. I read that around the time the movie Rushmore came out, and as a big Wes Anderson fan, I could easily picture the lead played by Luke Wilson, Thomas Effing (love that name) by Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson as the old time cowboy in the desert...
  7. Man, I am behind on Auster - I've never heard of the two books mentioned. And I still haven't read Brooklyn Follies. Was a time I'd read his latest as soon as it was released.
  8. We also would have accepted "Say what again, motherfucka!"
  9. What? As it aired, they kept flashing a 'watch the whole interview at thedailyshow.com' graphic.
  10. That was the most exhilarating TV I've seen in a while. Whole interview should be up soon: http://www.thedailyshow.com/
  11. Allow me to introduce...The Nostalgia Thread
  12. Obviously you don't run an organic farm in Vermont, dude.
  13. No doubt. "Not kind" was in reference to their legacy.
  14. I have a feeling when you see the band's name you think of 'Centerfold'? Or - 'Freeze Frame'? The 80s were not kind, but they're a hell of a blooz band.
  15. I didn't make that Aunt Beru/Uncle Owen thing, for the record.
  16. Stringer Bell from The Wire is Michael's new boss.
  17. If you use Dr Bronner's as bathroom handsoap, from a pump, you need to dilute it with enough water that it won't gel over and shoot straight out and (ironically enough) soil your shirt when you pump.
  18. I'm digging the Gary Numan cover.

  20. Yeah, I think TheMaker is kidding around, Banda.
