  1. That's a good one. So is 'Human Wheels' as I recall.
  2. Then there's my favorite Mellencamp song/video - .
  3. Now I know why the mods came up with that rule - I don't know if you're referring to the actor or the ex-board member.
  4. Sarah Palin is being interviewed EXCLUSIVELY (OMG!!!) on Fox right now. She's fun to watch now.
  5. I didn't know Shotgun Stories was among this year's crop - that was great.
  6. The Oscars are fun. I took them way too seriously for a long time.
  7. I'm definitely not saying you need to change your interpretation of it.
  8. I've always liked this song. Written from kind of a 'the way things are' POV. The line about the black man who "thinks he's got it so good" is pretty poignant. I don't know, man. I don't get what you're upset about I guess?
  9. I meant 'truer' to be taken as 'more indicative' - nothing to do with truth in art. Sorry to talk ungoodly.
  10. Listen #2 - I'm liking it. Not groundbreaking, but a nice mid-album rocker.
  11. It's not great by any means, but Heartbreak Ridge is a truer sample of Eastwood's oeuvre than the parade of Oscar nominees he's trotted out up to Gran Torino, though.
  12. 'Beautiful Day' is def in my top ten U2 songs. And is it against the law to like 'Vertigo'? Christ.
  13. Future needs a big kiss Winds blow with a twist Never seen a move like this Can you see it too Night is falling everywhere Rockets hit the funfair Satan loves a bomb scare But it won
  14. I could barely stay focused. Bored me to tears. What can I say. Gran Torino was more classic Eastwood for me - Heartbreak Ridge, Dirty Harry style.
  15. Also - 'Fox In The Snow' by Belle & Sebastian
  16. I agree his voice wasn't strong, but I have to ask - have you ever seen Bono perform before? That's his MO. "Am I buggin ya? I don't mean to bug ya!" As far as the single, I'm liking the chorus.
  17. Obama should open his inauguration speech with: "White people, please report immediately to your city or town hall, where you'll receive instructions for your boatride to Antarctica. Nah, just playin'."
  18. I think I might've been, too! Welcome!
  19. Damn fine ending to his acting career.
  20. For Hendrix, I'd go with 'Burning of the Midnight Lamp'.
  21. I did not need Jon Bon Jovi doing 'A Change Is Gonna Come' but otherwise- this is pretty cool so far.
