My local music video station had the Jailbreak video in heavy rotation in the early 80s - lotsa fun.

Started watching Control last night, but I lost interest quickly and managed to watch only about an hour of it. That makes two movies (this and 24 Hour Party People) that have left me underwhelmed by Joy Division/Ian Curtis. I guess I just don't get it. EDIT: Finished it last night. Depressing.

Offbeat, well-acted study of mental illness. But a bit too precious at times (the 'This Must Be the Place' dance scene just reeked of trying too hard), and it overstayed its welcome by about 15-20 minutes. Classy and stylish, and edge-of-seat exciting for the most part, except for the complete deflation of an ending.
