God, Maudie. I never heard that before. That's about the greatest thing. -
This makes me think instantly of Cleese/Palin's performance of the Dead Parrot sketch on SNL in the late 90s. It was lifeless and awkward. That said, I would not pass up an opportunity to see the greatest comedy troupe of all time live (mostly) on stage. I wonder if they'll take Graham's ashes with them again.

I think it's a fair comparison, but it stops at the bands' initial impacts upon their respective scenes. -
I saw it then too, and my friend and I were in tears laughing at it during the end credits. Then I saw it on cable a couple of years later and was like THIS IS NOT THAT MOVIE ANYMORE. It's really worth another try.
