Do you care that Beck has a new album coming out
Sir Stewart replied to KevinG's topic in Someone Else's Song
KevinG, I am sorry to pile on here, but like many others who have replied, I too find myself caring about the new Beck album. Vibes. -
That reminds of the day Kurt Cobain's death was announced. I heard on the radio in my car that "a body has been found at the home of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love" and my first thought (hand on heart) was "Holy shit, those two killed somebody!"

I love The White Album the most because it sounds like they're still working on it every time I listen.

Y'all are crazy.

I worked in the stockroom for a museum gift shop back in the mid 90s, and one day I was alone and listening to Abbey Road and stocking the shelves. One of the sales reps came in, a woman in her 50s or 60s (back then it was the same to me) who I didn't really know, and we went about our business quietly, as usual. When the album ended, she walked over to me shaking her head, smiling. We exchanged some words about what an amazing piece of work the medley is, and then we went back to work again. It was pretty cool.

I did not know that! Nice. I thought the laughs were a reaction to it being kind of ironic for him to say that, given that Paul was already set.

Bono saying "Achtung baby" deep in the mix before the guitar solo in The Fly. -
George introducing Yesterday live on that disc is great too. "So for Paul McCartney of Liverpool - opportunity knocks!" addressing the uneasiness surrounding Paul taking center stage (and almost getting a solo artist credit) for what would obviously be a hugely successful song.

Ah, I glossed over the part where he was taken out of the car. Fucked up.

Why the hell did his wife not just say "If he says it's home in the safe, that's where it is."

You can't live in New Jersey unless...
Sir Stewart replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Glad you said "or" in that first one. Since I was lucky enough to marry into a Jersey clan, I'll be hitting the shore for a week this summer. -

I listened to some of the second Anthology disc this morning. "Paul's broken a glass, a glass..."

Yessssss

From what you've said, it makes even more sense to me that they'd single out A-Rod, because the chances of him getting the public behind him is very slim.
