  1. Going to the movies solo is one of my favorite things.
  2. I saw him outside Rockefeller Center once, too. Didn't say anything that time either, and he was most likely leaving NBC studios!! OMG
  3. That'd be nice - actually, the one I have was the recording that bobdylan.com hosted for awhile after that gig.
  4. That boot of Yea! Heavy is so frustrating because you can hear people talking through the whole damn song!
  5. I saw Bill Walton, too! At a Dylan show in San Diego in 2002.
  6. I saw The Chief, Robert Parish, at a George Clinton & the P-Funk All-Stars show a while back. It was soon after the story of him being wayyy stoned for games was publicized, and people were crowded around him like he was Jesus arriving in Jerusalem.
  7. Have you ever said a positive fucking thing in your life, you douchebag?
  8. I think Gram Parsons made up that story, actually. And it was an ice cube, not a shovel, or a pen.
  9. The "autograph seeker with no pen" stories remind me of an essay by Paul Auster, about when as a kid and met Willie Mays after a game, but didn't have a pen to get his autograph. Since then he's always carried a pencil with him.
  10. Weird that the trailer is stuffed with Violent Femmes songs, though. Looks cute.
  11. What I liked about Anatomy of Hell was that it was so different from anything I'd ever seen, it didn't allow me to get beyond experiencing it in order to critique it. Had to hand it to him for that.
  12. Jeff solo does not necessarily mean just Jeff and an acoustic guitar, as that Jandek cover taught us.
  13. Ahh, but that's the stuff that really matters! You had to say that! I said "Thanks for Paul's Boutique" to Mike D once, because I had to, even though it felt very lame.
  14. That sucks. Get well soon Nels.
  15. I made eye contact with Fiona Apple at a Beck show in LA as we passed each other on the stairs. Yes, eye contact, with these.
