  1. I just reposted this for someone so I figured I'd share the link here. Boston!
  2. not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm wondering if anyone is headed back to NYC on Sunday, right after the festival. I'm driving up there with a couple friends but two of us (and the car) are gonna head up to Maine right after and that leaves my friend without a ride back to the city. Just thought I'd check to see if anyone's got room for one more back to NYC/Brooklyn.
  3. seems like "Jeff Tweedy +" is just a coy way of saying their Sunday afternoon set will be akin to the mid show "acoustic" sets the band did on the "evening with" shows this spring which I am TOTALLY in favor of!!
  4. I think "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" has some great sounds in the "noise" section but I think they most effectively use the noise in "Via" so I picked that!
  5. sorry you've had trouble. I just tested it and it seems to download ok for me. As for soundcard info - I recorded it using Wire Tap Pro on my Macbook Pro.
  6. hey folks, that link should be active again. I think the website that I posted it at either has a time limit or a max # of downloads. Anyway, here's the link so y'all don't have to go looking for it. http://www.filesavr.com/wilco2010-04-06
  7. glad everyone grabbed the recording. Thanks to Wilco for posting it!!
  8. yeah, I'm not that into the LR Baggs PU. I know tweedy uses em and loves em apparently but their sound has never appealed to me. I'm much more partial to an under the saddle transducer. I've been using the Fishman Matrix for the past couple years in my Martin D-28 and it works pretty well for me. Previously I had a Sunrise soundhole PU but it (like the LR Baggs) was just too brittle for me, especially when played solo. With a band, it blended better but I still prefer the Fishman. The one advantage of the Sunrise was when I plugged the guitar direct into a Fender Blues Jr. It actually g
  9. only reason I recognized it is because Tift Merritt plays one that looks very similiar
  10. YHF was the first one I bought. right now, I feel like my favs are 1. Being There 2. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 3. A Ghost Is Born 4. Wilco (TA) 5. Sky Blue Sky TIE Summerteeth 7. A.M.
  11. both of my band's websites are in my signature. Check us out! basement band is working on a new album now which should be out this summer!
  12. yeah, I'm a protools editor but with my rig at home, I can't record computer audio without needing a bunch of cables...plus with WireTap I don't have to convert the digital signal to analog and then back to digital like I would if I used my mbox. WireTap actually has the ability to edit the files but I'm so used to using Protools, it was easier to take the one big file into there to edit.
  13. it's a Gibson B25. Here's a picture of one...Gibson B25 beautiful guitar!
  14. also, just a note on numbering...when I numbered the files, I accidentily skipped 38, so it goes from track 37 to track 39. That's just a typo, there is no audio missing. glad it's working...enjoy!
  15. Here's the link: http://www.filesavr.com/wilco2010-04-06 let me know if anyone has trouble. I also put it up on my iDisk so if people are having trouble with this link, just PM me and I can send out a link to get the file from there. The source info is in the comments section of each file (tagged in iTunes). I used this program called WireTap. I think the newest version is kind of expensive (like $70) but it does a great job recording any audio from your computer. Then I chopped up the files in ProTools.
  16. so the link might have to wait till the morning because uploading the 400MB file seems to be taking forever! But i'll let it go overnight and I'll post the link tomorrow morning.
  17. I just recorded the stream at 320kbs mp3 and am splitting it up in ProTools now. I'm gonna tag it label it all in iTunes then I'd be happy to post it. Where's a good spot to upload files?
  18. I just got a room at the Howard Johnson's in Williamstown. Two miles from the venue for $149 a night.
  19. wow - looks like the Holiday Inn is already all booked up! I've got family in albany so we might just commute back there...
