  1. I was fortunate enough to get the promo cd with my purchase of 'Sky Blue Sky', and am grateful for the promo's non-album tracks "One True Vine" and the live version of "Theologians" but was hoping for some help with the latter--does anyone know from what show it's from--date and place? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

It's from one of the 4 shows at the Vic in April of 05 that were used for the Kicking Television album. I don't know which show.

  2. tom petty?

He is one of my favorites, but i am surprised to see him on that list. He IS underappreciated in a way, meaning that the songs besides his greatest hits album dont get enough press, but he not nearly as underappreciated as many of the other artists on that list.

Why the hell aren't the Pixies on there?

  3. Awww... Thanks guys, your kindness is very cool, but I don't think I'd be able to join you again without a script of Xanax first :-)

It's probably wise I disappear before Tweedy himself tells me to go Fuck myself and places a cease and desist order before throwing me in lyrical prison. All joking aside, I think I will feel uncomfortable about posting here again. Your administrator said she will delete my membership. Have fun at the shows this Summer :-)

    Best Regards :-)

    Andrea

Yeah, im sure Jeff would do exactly that. He has a storied history of telling his fans to f--- themselves. :huh

Despite your initial mistake, Andrea, i really feel you could've stuck around and become a part of the community if you so chose, but a person's gotta do what a person's gotta do.

WTF is going on with this board today? Is there a full moon out? In the daytime? :huh

    xanax, anyone?

  4. Perhaps for a couple more days. He frequently makes rude comments when I ask a question or make a comment. I should make sure to get my point across. It's not a grudge. I will expose people whenever they behave in this sort of fashion.

Why not put him on your ignore list? If i had a major problem with someone on this board, then thats what i would do. You then wouldn't have to know what rude comments are being made.

Nice Family Guy avatar btw. I love that show.

  5. cool..cant wait to hear the show..missed out on the webcast..how is the quality..sound-board-ish'?

The source is from the soundboard, so yeah it sounds like a soundboard show. Its not quite as good quality as regular soundboards shows due to the quality it was streamed (probably 96 or 128 in mp3), but still well worth listening to.

btw, if you want to hear it now, its up here:

  6. Don't trust WMP. Wasn't this a web rip? If so, the original stream is at like 128 (MP3), which makes the .wav a transcode.

That would be correct. The original stream was probably either 96 or 128 (mp3) It is a transcode, which is why i gave this to Owl to put up. I knew it wouldn't be wise to put it up on a torrent site. There's no harm in converting it to a lossless format either, since the stream was originally in mp3 format anyway. I'm thinking that maybe the next time i record one of these webcasts, i should just make it available in mp3. format instead.

  7. just got a used copy of this one. does anyone know if this copy had the slipcase that the american edition is in? i'm just asking because my copy didn't come with a slipcase. also, the UK A Ghost Is Born did come in a slipcase, correct?

thanks in advance for the info.

Where did you pick up your copy at? I've been looking for it myself.

  8. I signed up for this a long time ago when somebody mentioned it in the secret forum here.

Just kidding. What the heck is a facebook?

Its an internet networking site, similar to myspace, created mainly for College students, (but now i think they accept High Schools too.) from different Colleges/Universities around the country.

  9. I agree. I think it's a popularity contest. I know people who spend literally HOURS a day on Facebook and Myspace. As for the fun part, what happened to going outside? No wonder we're a nation of pasty white fatties.

I'm more of a pasty white skinnie type myself.

  10. has a recording come out of this yet???

It'll be up tomorrow. Have a little patience. :)

First i have to sleep. How in the hell did i end of staying up this late in Chicago?? The internet can be very addictive!

  11. Where will the aforementioned (by Col.) of this webcast appear when it is posted? Somewhere on this site, or on one of the hundreds of bit torrent sites out there?

My first Wilco show, and so incredible.

Must have a recording of it!

    Cheers.

I have not decided as of yet, but i'll probably put it up on bt.etree. The other sites have pretty strict rules on torrenting webcasts(maybe etree does too? i dont know). I plan to have it ready to seed tomorrow at the latest, and when i put it up, i'll post a link to it here.

Does etree allow webcast torrents? If not, who does? Does anybody know? It's reasons like these why i miss the VC Tracker. I could post Wilco webcasts there without the fear of having my ip address banned.
