let's see...i had to replace the hard drive in my laptop so i've been offline for a MONTH. tomorrow is my birthday oh! the great news about working on this show: the show is shot on stages very close to the bldg where i work. on the set they have a FREE PUSH BUTTON CAPPUCCINO MAKER. awesome, i tell you. for the record: today i am wearing my hair in ponytails. also, i've been sewing like a fiend all summer.
-
WHAT?! supa-cool! what kind of stuff are you shooting? i'm on 'close to home', which is, ironically, far from my home. still.
-
i remember seeing the bee-gee's perform 'jive talkin' on the mike douglas show. now that i know john davidson was hired to replace mike douglas, i like jd even less. rip, mr. douglas.

my friend's film about the last six months of luna screened here in los angeles this weekend. i'm having difficulty describing the richness of the film without spelling it out. here is a snippet from a review: "Tell Me Do You Miss Me is like a Luna song: intimate, deeply personal, sweet and sad."--Joe Levy, rolling stone. it comes out on rhino home video on june 20th. if you're a fan of the band, i recommend it without reservation. if you've not listened to Luna, it may be a bit heavy on the music for you, but the direction is wonderful. i'm a fan of the director as well. he made a

i was watching "Elephant" the gus van sant film on hotel HBO until lightning blew out the signal. i missed it at the theatre. what i saw of it was terrific and well done. i missed the beginning, but from the first shot i saw, i guessed it was gus. it was one long shot that lasted about 4 minutes. i'm going to have to rent that when i get home.

ok, this just sent me on a twenty minute IMDB surf that ended with "Psst! Hammerman's After You!," an after-school special starring lance kerwin. sir s.: the stevie doc looks very cool!!

i had hoped to have it tuned before last week, but the tuner (tunist?) was booked until mid-june. alas.

rich! what a dynamite show! i waffled about seeing david g. here, and missed out. ECHOES?! HOLY CATS!! DAVID BOWIE!?? if you're going to have a guest vocalist on comfortably numb, you best call in the big guns. damn. what a lucky, lucky crowd. for the record: have seen roger waters solo and various pink floyd-sans waters shows over the years and am still a fan of the waters shows. LOVED the floyd shows, but they were always a bit on the huge and slickly produced side for me. sounds like i missed an opportunity to see d. gilmour play a more low-key show on this tour. rats. QUE
