  1. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2006...w_bird_and.html November 15 in NYC too
  2. The Mountain Goats: "We Shall All Be Healed"
  3. A few still left dudes ... one for $15 or two for $25 ... it's for a good cause!
  4. They have like 12 records and a career going back 20 years, with songs spanning a dozen or two musical genres. Your comment doesn't tell me very much, is all I'm saying.
  5. This show was nice .... "Sad & Beautiful World" was a lovely treat. Jen you going to Okkervil River or The Mountain Goats? I have been at the Bowery a little too often lately.
  6. I have a few copies left of this silkscreen art print we did as a fundraiser for the first night of the Wordless Music series -- I am selling them for $15 and will throw in free shipping for the first few orders.... the print size is 20" x 26" and they are numbered from an edition of 140. This image here barely does it justice: Send me a PM or email words@wordlessmusic.org

  9. Thanks for the kind words dudes.....looks like Andrew Bird and The FLUX Quartet will likely be the November performers. Very...few...tickets....left....
  10. Yeah, he said he had also made a few instrumental/electronic records too -- not sure if those are circulating or just for him. Dennis Hopper's son was there too and was sort of obscenely drunk. He was pretty funny tho.
  11. I talked to this guy when we were both a little drunk at happy hour in a bar in midtown. He was pretty cool. He said he was going to some country in Africa (Uganda maybe?) to film a documentary about making music with a bunch of street kids out there I believe. np Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan: Shahen-Shah
  12. You should think about coming to New York in November. Details soon.
  13. Actually they have sold about 100k records in the U.S. alone. This does not include the Friday Night Lights OST.
  14. I know they have many many dates scheduled for spring/summer after the new record comes out in February. They also may or may not be opening a bunch of dates for Modest Mouse.
  15. Thanks doods The two new songs they played last night at the Bowery were punishingly inzane.
  16. What he said. (SSG = South San Gabriel) Distance + Clime is pretty good too.
  17. I could not agree more. This record absolutely destroys and might end up being the album of the year.
  18. Actually, I was offering to send him some CDs. You're the one being an asshole. Get a life. "Just to set the scene."
