Definitely get Bitches Brew. Doesn't sound anything like Kind of Blue but completely essential. Live at the Plugged Nickel is great listening too. Look into Bill Evans (Waltz for Debby, Portrait in Jazz) and Coltrane (Love Supreme, Africa/Brass, Live at the Village Vanguard) and Monk (everything) as well. np (thanks to doubter for the tip)

It'll be worth it as soon as the sweet sounds of "The Bear" with Andrew Bird guesting comes on.

I've been getting lots of emails from bemydemon.org asking why I haven't gotten off my ass and posted the lyrics to Just a Kid, the Wilco book tracks, the MSG covers (you know, the ones from 48 hours ago), etc. The answer: I'm a lazy bastard. Yes, I am. That and I don't think I made it through the Wilco Book tracks even once.
