no surprise that he played "two". in spite of sheryl crow it's one of my fave songs on the album. the performance was excellent; i love the cardinals and it's nice to see ryan looking good, adjusted, whatever. can't wait to see him at red rocks in august. oh, and i'm supposed to be getting my orange vinyl on friday. can't wait.

i can't overstate how much i am loving The Stage Names. i have listened to it no less than 13 tmies since it leaked on saturday, no joke. Unless It's Kicks, Plus Ones & John Allyn Smith Sails are especially amazing. i love this band & i'm certain this one will be in my top ten too.

aye aye, captain. i was afraid that Will didn't have much to do with the band anymore, but my interest is up, and i think i'll see shearwater on saturday. i like richmond fontaine's thirteen cities album, but the shearwater show will be cheaper and smaller, so...

just furthering the idea that halloweenhead is tongue in cheek ryan adams humor. yet still i find myself belting out the lyrics along with him...

they are in town saturday - same night as richmond fontaine. what to do? i haven't really heard too much of their stuff, but i've been on a HUGE okkervil river kick since the new album leaked. though i know shearwater does not = okkervil river, i can't imagine any will sheff project could be all that disappointing. EDIT: while i'm at it, i might as well fish for any opinions on this one too: battles or david vandervelde?

i'm assuming that by marquee theatre they are meaning denver's marquis theatre, which holds about 300. i'm so excited. i'm on a total OR kick right now... can't stop listening to all their stuff. right now it's "overboard and down" ep. so good. and, i still can't get past how amazing "plus ones" is from the new one.
