the link is not working... gomez played in boulder last may (i think) and i, being the procrastinator that i am, waited until the week of the show to get a ticket - only to find it was sold out. it's funny, i remember my friend leah told me the opener was amazing and used a loop machine. she may have even told me his name, but i only checked out david's album a couple of weeks ago. slowly putting two and two together () now i'm really bummed that i missed the show...

i don't know of any us release date, but i really like the hazey janes album. it's nothing really ground-breaking, but it's definitely some great indie-pop. worth checking out for sure.

fwiw, i love the brother kite too... waiting for the time to be right was #15 on my 2006 top 50.

i love jenny lewis, the elected, and rilo kiley. i like death cab. i haven't heard enough of postal service to form an opinion.

at last year's halloween party, i apparently broke out my stewart impression... i, of course, have no recollection of it, but everytime certain friends/family members see me these days they feel the need to utter "look what i can do!".

yeesh... haven't been here all day, apparently. re: the rock plaza central, i like it. a lot. if someone told me that i'd really dig a concept album about mechanical horses that think they are real horses... i probably wouldn't have believed it. np: i used my oink holiday bonanza to download a ton of 2006 releases that i missed. still wading my way through... and i discovered that i missed a LOT...

hmm... i've only seen emmylou once and it was at a folk festival. she's a legend and has a great stage presence, but i'm not sure there's anyone i'd pay $70 to see... i paid $60 each to see dylan and willie nelson recently, but i'd never seen bob and hadn't seen willie since my dad took me when i was just a little kid. those are both artists that i'd wanted to see before it was too late. i just don't think i could plop down the dough for emmylou.

my brightest diamond was on my top 50 list... but at #31.

ah, i love the new songs, especially underwater (you and me). while i can totally see how one could be annoyed by his voice, i'm just not. at all.
