i agree completely. governors don't usually have significant foreign policy experience (e.g. bush, clinton, reagan, carter) i can't understand why it's worth it to try to make stuff up.

i think his point was that neither the republicans as a whole nor the democrats as a whole did anything. that's been agreed upon. but at least mccain raised a red flag, inspite of his being a republican.
