i've enjoyed these remasters way more than the archives. looking at neils run from 69-72 is amazing. add in deja vu-csny and wow! been listening to greendale lately. i like it.

the crazy thing as that we're hitting 40 years for these bands. i guess they'll be around forever, like willy nelson etc. if this is true, we got at least another 10-15 years with these dinosaurs. that means at least 10 more albums from neil young, 5 from dylan, and many many more stones tours

never really dug them. tried, couldn't. that's not to say i didn't love the 'lovin' video when i was 17!

i'm the same way. its a trade off. i liked having a cd shelf with stuff to look at, but that's what it became. as i've gotten older, i've become less attached to material thing and find that i prefer a less cluttered sparse environment. at the same time, i go back and forth on this issue. downloads should be a lot cheaper than they are. $5 at most for an entire album. at least downloads are 256kbs now. at the same time, buying used cds online is an option, but shipping and handling charges have increase at half.com making them the same amount as a download most of the time. there you

unfortunately, rita has lost too much weight and is too skinny now. she's a great actress, just plays so bad in this role. i never remember disliking her so much on the other seasons. btw-it's quinn. the payoff this season is gonna be great! dex takes care of quinn and trinity. now, when will deb find out about him? she's a bit annoying too.

i can relate to him, being a music creator and listener of music. love/hate etc. he seems to be a bit of a tortured soul. takes a special person to be out there making a living at music. there's nothing else they can do.

this may be cynical, but, it seems it was supposed to be on the album, but was taken off and added as the bonus track for itunes. bands have to do that shit to get stuff on itunes. i imagine it will be on an ep that comes out soon.

a buddy of mine just got the gabriel era box set we watched the performances. very cool. gabriel was able (still is) to be theatrical without being ironic at all. we listened to part of lamb too via DVD. it has the slides that were played in the background of the performances as well as some live shots. very cool.

firth of fifth is probably one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time. unbroken chain by the dead is in there as is you and i by yes. los endos kills me everytime too. now, i need to revisit domino.

also, it was quinn who called deb, all excited, that they had found the vacation killers. that was a more than obvious scene indicating that there is something up with Q. he shot lundy and deb. don't know what the motive was though. Quinn maybe in love with Deb. He is so slimy.

your buddy did the opening for dexter? i must say it is totally amazing and compelling time and time again. i watch it every time i watch the show. so great. when he fries up that piece of ham and eats it...so great.

SPOILER BELOW~~ the last two episodes have been less corny, but the marriage stuff is just so cheesy and unreal. now, i bet you a million bucks that QUIN shot lundy and deb. dex will have a showdown with trinity by episode 8 and 9-10 will be dex giving quin what he deserves. i don't like him at all. oh yeah, deb will fall in love with quin first though.

ben gibbard could be the next alt. country prodigy! he is so great in this context. i've tried and just can't get into death cab, but this is great! also, loved the new reworked voodoo candle. wish jay would redo all the stuff on search and sebastopol acoustic. bass and drums were excellent as was spencer. does son volt really need another guitar player, spencer nails everything; steel, tele, and organ.

i've revised my list of artists and i'm starting with their earliest stuff on the ipod. Neil Young Gillian Welch Jeff Tweedy Jay Farrar Patterson Hood Pat Metheny ...after these favorites, there's good albums that i'll likely add in at some point. prolly some from springsteen and dylan, random classic rock, def thin lizzy. i'm just a completist on the artists above and that's what i'm gonna focus on for now. it gives me some schema to listen to music and let it lie, rather than get so anxious about it these days:)
